cigarettes & alcohol [04 Mar 2004|03:00pm] [ mood | here and there ] [ music | UNKLE - in a state ] UNKLE was great last night, and eventhough we expected it to be a letdown, IT WAS FAR FROM THAT. the queue to get in was so long and luckily i managed to weasel my way in with daniel and our friends... heard the line closed after that, too bad. it was a good night last night, fucking fantastic music, hanging out with our star friends, mending old friendships, meeting famous people who carry markers in their pockets ready to give the occasional giggly schoolgirl (guess who?) an autograph, daniel didn't lose his phone etc. james lavelle played a U2 song (where the streets have no name) unmixed... my god, it was phenomenal, it was perfect, i wouldn't and couldn't have thought of a better song to play at that climax. daniel and i screamed and jumped up and down like hippies at woodstock :D in other news, one of my hamsters died last night... i'm glad he lived a full hamster life (almost 3 years) eventhough the cause of death appears to be the result of choking on his teeth that broke off. RIP Bertrand -beloved hamster, sadly missed by mom, bette, lauren and baxter- 10 comments|post comment
