Yee gadz! I haven't been on LJ for aaages! Sadly I have been sucked into the world of FB as it's much easier to update quickly and keep a track of folk. Far too easily accessed via my iPhone too :P
Well my intention is to check here a bit more regularily now!
Generally life is pretty darn good right now but about that another time.
How is everyone? though most of you are also on FB therefore I probably know ;)

Sooo a bit of an update then.
Well I haven't been feeling too bad really.. developed a bit of a cough now and then, a few dizzy spells.. my nose has been fine for several days now.
Unfortunately the reason I am still off is because my new flatmate tested positive for swine flu (the results came back on Tuesday) so I have been put on the medication as well which is a 5 day course. Therefore I can leave the confines of the flat on Monday.. and back to work.
It has been a true test as to whether I like the new flat and whether me and Jane can get along as flatmates! I think we've done rather well though which is a very good sign.
So to sum it up, I probably do have it but in no way that severe thanks to my pretty tough immune system.

deenial
... yip
.. of awesome.
Awake at 4am, walked to the station and just about caught the 05.50 train to Brum.
Arrived in good time, was pishing it down but that wouldn't dampen my mood!
Caught the bus I thought would take me to Kings Heath.. ended up in Kings Norton.. got on another bus and found where I wanted to go. Bought beer.. knocked on the door of HoG.
Knocked again.. and again.. a few more times for good measure.
deenial was in town.. I didn't want to ruin the surprise which didn't help the situation as he was the only one I seemed to be able to get a hold of. I was getting wetter and wetter. Topped up my phone and called
eddy_, rudely waking him. He tried to get a hold of anyone for me but it seemed
tawdryfilth was also in town. I sat on the step and opened the first beer at 11.30.
Not long after, the door opened and
perspexavenger let me in as he'd been woken by Eddy calling him. Apparently he sleeps with his ear plugs in.
I laughed and the amusing morning and got a shower before the main weekend surprise as Paul walked in and commented on fuck sandwiches. It worked a treat and after 10 years I'd surprised him!
The beers quickly flowed and I woke up in Glasgow many hours later!
Well okay there was a huuuge amount of fun and drink and chatting rubbish and not drinking washing up liquid and destroying Paul's drums (sorry!) and lunch and more beer the next day. Ah yes and there was
twocan's complete lack of hair ;) Great to see everyone who was there! I chose a crackin weekend for it. Now I am still broken but finally getting some sleep now that I have an actual bed and room!

Water - Metal
Be as careful in choosing pleasures as in avoiding disasters.
Those who go against Heaven
Sink to ruin together
As sure as the water runs from a spring.
Rise early, sleep late
Shine and sweep your floor
Set a fine example to others.
Keep your chariots and horses in order,
Your bows, arrows, other such weapons
Pulled taut, ready for war.
The Tao - the Way- is the true path or course of nature.
In ancient China this was also expressed as the Way of Heaven - the Heavenly Tao. This has a more moral, ethical dimension to it than the Tao, which has a spiritual connotation. So look to the moral and ethical basis of your life and follow the Tao of Heaven.

I'm thinking Open Uni and getting a degree with the end result in having enough points to be able to emigrate to NZ.
Not a chance if don't get a qualification it seems.
Anybody out there been with the Open Uni and has anything to say about it? I'm thinking of going down the BSc in computing road.
Thoughts appreciated.

Hmmm.. well things seem to be ticking over quiet nicely at the moment.
A minor blip at work which I think I have gotten my head round now.
It's Friday (13th or not it's still a Friday!) so rar. 6 Nations over the weekend (no matter how terrible the results). I have a fridge with about 10 beers in.

If I was really annoyed at someone (or just disliked someone) I'd hire Christian Bale to give them a telling off that's for sure...
Click me.. beware bad language..
I'm behind Christian on this one. Read me for a more detailed explanation..

After 2 years we have finally sorted out contents insurance! Yes I'm a bit slow in these things but it's the start of a new financially aware me.
Also spent hours projecting and planning our finances till the end of August (there may have been some alcohol consumed along the way). It's scary when it's all planned but should help prevent too bad a year!

'nuff said :D
'nuff said :D
think I may need to upgrade my PC before this comes out
The dreaded three red lights did happen to my beloved 360 Elite. I have panicking about this and the cost but after much searching on tinternet and then bothering to start the repair request online through xbox site I realise that it won't cost me anything, phew, still will be a week or so before getting it back after I send it.
Anyway, now to have some grub and settle for the afternoon of Rugby :D
