Back On Telly!

The fist lads are back on telly again with a series they did waaaaaay back when Fly TV was airing it's night time show.  It's called "Hello Future", and was originally meant to be this bizarre thing that appeared late at night without warning (stoner tv, if you will), and can best be described as fucking mental.  30 second episodes.

Premise:  an interactive tv show filmed in the early 80's, with dodgy graphics and hosted by four future-guys all called Sven.  It comes complete with excellent haircuts and a snazzy 80's electro theme.

Anyhoo - JTV has grabbed it.  And they're showing it on the saturday morning show (9am - starts this Saturday). This means a g-rating, so the episode "Dress Sven" where Bryan (Rod in DTF) stands full frontal naked for twenty seconds or so....probably won't make it to air.

One episode of Hello Future was an easter egg on DTF DVD 1.

That's Doug in the middle - hair by me.  I was dying my hair blue at that stage, so leapt at his head with glee.  It's a series of little pigtails of alternating white and blue across his head like a wrong-way mohawk.

How long it stays on air probably depends on how many complaints they get....

True. Amazingly, I used to set my alarm and actually *get up* in time to watch the lads on Saturday Morning Fly.

This time around, I think maybe I won't. And it'll be wading through hours of YOUTH issues and music stuff for all of thirty seconds of bizarre WTFery.

I'm just stoked (as are the lads of course) that Hello Future has finally resurfaced.

Someone, somewhere will surely realise the awesomeness of those 30 seconds of madness and put it on YouTube. In fact, it may have ended be on YouTube already!

Everything else is, or so it seems... 6_6

I'll talk to Dougal. Should be able to do you a copy of them somehow.

Everyone needs to see "dress Sven" once.

I haven't :( Where is it?! TELL ME NOW!
And while I'm demanding information; are there any major differences between the 2nd DTF dvd and the dodgy one I bought from a rather disreputable fellow in a flannel shirt?

(Is it lamer that I'm begging for help to find easter eggs, or that I registered an account to do it?)

I have no idea where all the easter eggs are, but the Hello Future one is at the end of Episode 3 (Fistathalon). Steve psyches Womp up to ascend Mount Fistus - and as Womp turns to run, press enter. It's there.

There's little difference between the pirated DVD the lads sold at Supanova and the "official" one, save for proper menus. And the pirated one is rare and special and made with love. And all the money went to the Fist guys. ^ ^

Gloorp!

I seem to recall seeing Doug waving his willy around in a shopping center on tellie. Am I confusing something?

No, it's on ABC free to air.
