I got home from the grocery store and the phone immediately rang. It was my dad telling me to go to the hospital right away. I got really freaked out, but I went. Appearantly there was a misunderstanding between my grandmother and my dad, because my mom is still alive. I mean... As much as she should be. Well, I donno. It's just that when he called it sounded like she had five minutes left, but she has a couple days I guess.
I'm trying to be optimistic. She's in pain now, and she won't be when she dies. Her nurse had ladybugs on her scrubs. It was cute. My brother and I are going to get tattoos together. He is getting the sacred heart on his sternum and I'm getting a ladybug on my ankle.
All my mom's old friends from church were there: Irma, Lisa, Susan and that one woman who has the little children.
I'm scared. I need a hug. No offense to any potential huggers, but I need a David hug. He makes me feel strong.
I gotta go unpack my groceries.
