| Bio: | Hello! I am Rachel, a 16 year old from Kansas City, Kansas. I will be spending the 2004-2005 school year in Bernay, France, as part of a Rotary Youth Exchange. I will use this journal to communicate to family and friends while over in France. Here, you can see pictures and journal entries about my time overseas. Please feel free to add me to your LJ friends list. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NEVER USED LIVEJOURNAL: Here is a little step by step tutorial! 1) Scroll up to the top of THIS page. See the cute little Paris icon? Well, to the left of it, there should be something that says 'User: _francophile (4126217)'. If you click on '_francophile' it will send you to the journal. 2) Now, if you look on the journal, you will see at least three different little pictures. One of Paris, one of Pepé Le Pew, and one from the movie Amélie. These are called user icons and that is just telling you I'm posting an entry in my journal. 3) Once you've read the post, you should see something that says 'Leave a comment'. There will be another link next to it, telling you how many comments I already have. The number will change depending on how many people reply. Click on 'Leave a comment' to, well, leave a comment! 4) Now, you will see a user icon and my journal entry again. At the bottom of the page, you will see three different options: Anonymous, Logged In, LiveJournal User. If you do not have a LiveJournal account, you can't log in, so please select Anonymous. If you do have a LiveJournal account, you shouldn't even be reading this tutorial. :-) 5) The rest is very easy! Now you just type in your message and click SEND. If you are posting under Anonymous, please please PLEASE, tell me who you are so I can talk back to you! 6) Once you have posted, your comment will be e-mailed straight to me and I can reply to YOU. Please check back at the website to see if I replied back. 7) In order to reply AGAIN to me, just go find your comment that you posted and then my reply should be underneath it.
