XMAS meal and Match Making [Dec. 24th, 2005|06:49 pm]
The lameness of the airline industry resulted in me having to spend Christmas in the states. Today's (or tonight) is X'mas eve. My uncle organized a X'mas lunch at a Chinese restaurant in Berkely downtown. The food there was actually very good. We ordered Peking duck, dumplings, shirmps etc, etc, lots of food, so much that we had to take 40% of it home. When we got home after lunch, my mom got a phone call from my aunt (her older sister). So it was a boring conversation until I became part of the topic. My aunt's brother in law has a pair of twin sons, both of which graduated fromn UC Berkely. One of them went to Taiwan for job purposes and has a girl friend, the other is working on a graduate degree at Berkely--this one doesn't and never had a girlfriend. Apparently the brother in law and his wife remembered me from my cousin's engagement party back in 1999. My aunt said that both of them had a pretty good impression on me, and asked if um....we were interested in umm...meeting up sometime. That's really scary!!! My aunt's trying to hook me up with a 23 year old graduate student!! Besides I have a boyfriend already!! This is SO WRONG. In 1999 I was only 13, it creeps me out to see the parents thinking of that young 13 year old when they were girlfriend-hunting for their son...I hope we'll never meet up, match making scares me, especially when the other person's a 23 year-old Berkely graduate student.

Sorry, looks like I won't be able to come back to HK afterall. I was at the airport on the 18th, just to realize that my flight to Tokyo was delayed indefinitely. The issue was, Patty was supposed to take a transit flight from Tokyo to HK, so the delay messed everything up. In order to get to HK I'd have to fly to Tokyo, stay over a night, then catch the morning flight to HK. The problem is the plane was I wasn't even sure if the plane was going to take off that day. So after calling my mom we decided it was easier for me to spend xmas in the states. Sorry, hope to see you guys over summer though...

Oh Great Cthulhu!

I have been an extremely busy devotee this year.

In July, I visited my relatives in Innsmouth (100 points). In September, I bombed a cultist gathering (-100 points). Yesterday, I exposed [info]belleiseult to soul-rending horrors (250 points). In February, I stopped [info]betbet3 from defiling Lovecraft's grave (-20 points). In March, I recruited [info]joshuak as a new cultist (30 points). In April, I rescued [info]kindeeu from being sacrificed (-200 points).

In short, I have been very good (60 points) and deserve to get hooked up with one of those cute Innsmouthers.

Yes people, I'm alive! Things are going pretty well at UC Davis. Been pretty busy with school work, friends, and self-maintainance. Today I instigated something kind of crazy--a chinese food galore. Worked with 5 cooks in our small college kitchen, subsequently fed 8. I'M SO TIRED!!! Cooking really drains you. Made curry chicken, beef and zuccini, spicy tofu, green vegetables, and tomatoes + eggs (made by my friend danny). Everything was really chaotic, but luckily the food came out pretty good, and everyone was happy. Of course everyone was happy, home cooked food vs. dining hall food (battle that one out).
