| | angie aparo - welcome to the world unknown | ] | I'm just not in a sleeping mood. So I picked up and cleaned some in my apartment (a sure sign of boredom!). See, I canceled my cable tv because I didn't want to sit and watch tv anymore. Now I sit in front of my computer :), which is SO much better.
So what's been going on in Rebecca land? Well, I just spent almost a whole week hanging out with my lovely ladies Joelle (bonelesspuppy) and Susan (lilycascade), and half a week hanging out with the above as well as my Athens peeps (Nat, Eli, Chris, Brian, T, Cadle, Luke). It was so much fun, I still haven't recovered. Seriously, everyone, I miss you! It was a much needed vacation.
I've pretty much abandoned Weight Watchers lately. I've gained every week except two, which makes me feel pretty sheepish. I can do it, I must just not want to.
I canceled my first online diary (at iam.bmezine.com). I saved all my old entries before canceling. I just never wrote there anymore, and it cost money. I have another online diary, feckless.blogspot.com, but I hardly write there anymore. When I do, it's mostly random musings and creative writing.
Ahh, creative writing. I need to do more of this, instead of writing here and chatting with people :). I also need to do my homework for the counseling class I'm taking at my church. I've done week one, and we're on week 6 now.
I just made some really good black beans and rice. I finally cooked them long enough to where the beans weren't still hard. I don't cook often, and by not often I mean never. I've used my oven twice. I've lived here for 9 months. I've been working here in Atlanta for more than a year now - my one year anniversary was July 21st. I can't believe it - it definitely doesn't seem that long. My weeks pass so quickly now - it's monday, and then it's friday in no time at all. Luckily my weekends seem a little longer than my weekdays. I like that alot.
It occurs to me that I eat far too many beans and not nearly enough meat. I was talking to John T (killerangel) about this, and his only reply: "Mmmm, flesh of animals". I seriously eat beans just about every day. Go ahead and make your farting jokes... haha, very funny :). But seriously, it's so much easier to heat up refried beans from the can than to cook chicken or beef, and I am not bringing fish into my home.
Oh, and in case you missed the previous entry, I now have a mohawk. It's more like a faux hawk, because I still have hair on the sides. I'm not sure about it yet. Let me know what you think. Please, I need affirmation, I'm so pathetic sometimes ;)
So I guess I'll go to bed now. |
