Now maybe people will stop telling me that they can't remember/spell my blog address, haha. This one is memorable right!

Weirdly enough I felt more.. carefree.. (I was trying to avoid this word because of the sanitary pad connotations but I cannot think of a better substitute) after the Physical Geog paper than I do now. The killer Human Geog + Int'l History day wasn't as terrible as I expected, even though the combined strain of writing 4 DRQs and 6 essays in 9 hours have significantly worsened the calluses on my right pinkie. Oh well.
Can't think of much else to say except that I feel pretty okay about my last two papers. Human Geog was the talk-cock session that it always is (seriously, my 1 hour's worth of studying only helped me quote Dyson & Nike in some DRQ, the rest was all from memory & general knowledge) and I didn't have enough time for one History essay but all my basic points are there so I hope they don't penalize me too much for not going in-depth. That's about it I guess. Can get B = I happy.
5 days to tackle H2 Lit. I do not want to screw up this paper (OMG Charmaine actually cares about her gradez!) and the fact that I am able to laugh at certain bits of Heart of Darkness is probably a good sign.
Okay no one just read that. |

| | Worried | ] | ...and so far, I have been able to commit every single Exam Mistake there is in the book. You know, the kind of things that your parents and teachers warn you about, the Cardinal Sins of Exam-Taking, the stuff that you are NEVER EVER supposed to do on pain of death, like:
1) Being unable to complete the paper because you've run out of time (see: KI) 2) Making stupid careless mistakes in your Math paper & ACTUALLY WRITING DOWN THE CORRECT ANSWERS BEFORE THAT BUT NOT ACCEPTING THEM BECAUSE THEY "LOOKED WRONG" ARRRRGHHHHH (see: Probability question, H1 Math) 3) Writing out-of-point & realising it midway through the essay but being unable to rewrite it cos that would mean compromising the rest of the paper (see: History, question on PD) 4) Misinterpreting the question completely (see: DRQ 3, Physical Geog)
Charmaine, you are a failure on two long bony legs.
I guess History & Geog can still be salvaged with the other halfs of the papers, but KI & Math are pretty much a lost cause. Plus all the talk of bell curves and whatnot is making me really nervous, because the grade you get is ultimately dependent on what everyone else gets :/ Guess the only A on my results slip next year is going to be for Lit, and even that is not guaranteed cos the first paper hasn't been sat for.
Time will tell, etc. |
