I am having a great summer so far. I painted my room clorophyll, I am wearing a new shirt with butterflies on it, and I just can't get enough of Tom Waits.

Things to strive for in the coming weeks/months:

(1.5.) Shredding papez at a surgeon's office is less beans, but still money
2) Start doing some dang art again
3) Practice/take lessons: guitar, piano (or the 19-key toy keyboard), drums
4) Bike until I have thighs of steel and can go up the tallest mountains
(4.5) Bike up some tall mountains?
5) Take the starter rock climbing class at Go Vertical, learn to belay, get legit
6) Be able to run at a respectable pace for more than 7 minutes at a time
7) Sk8boardzz
8) Pay for transportation to Pitchfork/ Ticket for Folk Fest and not be $300 in debt after

Weird. Super weird. This is a really nice way to "end" things, because you know it'll all just start up again in a mere 3.5 months. Time to make money, make music, learn how to skateboard, and sit and sweat under the shady humidity of southeastern Pennsylvania. Then time to come back to the green mountains.

Last night I went to a party that started off with a potluck, and afterwards Shane stayed over until six o'clock. We talked for four hours until we weren't drunk anymore.

This place is great. I keep feeling like all these "monumentous" "endings" that have been happening so frequently recently are like, the end to the book or something, but it's not, and it's a little freaky. Keeeeeep onnnnnnnn truckin'.

It is dreary doldrums outside, but tonight is Iron Man and/or late-showing Clash documentary, and tomorrow is all you can eat Indian buffet.

Two of my biggest regrets in my lifetime insofar are:

It's like, my family and friends are what connect me to my old home, and my friends are what connect me to here, but when they're gone...it's like it all becomes alien again. But the weather sure is nice!

I keep getting marker on my keyboard because I wrote "Discovered, not Created" on my wrist and it's rubbing off. Mahayana Buddhism: Discovered, not Created, the Ox cart (not the deer cart), the lotus, not the murky water. I loooove religion class, isn't that weird? Yeah well, so's everything else, so there.

Early tonight I legitimately thought I might have lost it permanently.

Er'rybody is suddenly shacking up and romance is in the air like a cotton candy atom bomb, and it's great and everyone is nice and sweet but jesus, it's getting unsettling and Vermont is getting lonelier, at least inside my skull.
Worry worry worry, long term home is three months away and the favor scales are tipping.
Today all the snow melted and rivers were made and shoes were soaked. I need to be alone in a field but there is nowhere safe to sit yet.

Guys I have a 3.6 GPA in college! I don't remember EVER having a 3.6 or anything close to it in high school! Good job college for making me feel good about my academic standing!

So being home is very wonderful because everything seems new and fun and exciting to do, even if most of my buds are still in school and I'm just going to the library and doing errands and stuff. It's like what summer should have been. Also it ain't even cold here compared to up nawwwth. No complaining from me! No sir ee.

I was thinking I should make a log(roll) out of all the fun things we all do this break. Like so far I went to New York and adventured to the Sanctuary and there will be more I hope. Also I left my compu-chargino at college so I am being very sparing about my internet-etc use. Which is how it should be. Maybe it was a blessing from above. A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE.

The guy who wrote Children of Men and First Snow and the new Iron Man came to my film class. He said

One more final and then thassssall! Coincidentally, it is my film final. Not coincidentally, I am totally zonked right now and can't imagine doing anything worthwhile for any sort of exam unless the exam was a practical in napping. My mouth is burned to smithareens by some very hot pizza and a "Jamaican Shower" and I need to detox . But no detox until tomorrow. Tonight is the last night before we're all homeward bound. I think that's been our "excuse" all week.

It has been a very tiring week.

Pros: Drinking a 40 of Steel Reserve, painting your body and your friend's body (Laura got a Wu symbol on her back), and riding your bike buck naked through campus along with a crowd of other similarly drunk naked idiots while being cheered on by a huge crowd of similarly drunk clothed idiots, not dying of hypothermia, and feeling on top of the world for a solid 20 minutes.

Cons: Losing your set of keys along the way somehow.
