Basic Info Bio...it is no accident that the skin is the site of attack... it is no coincidence that the arms are the most common target, perhaps a symbolic attack on the mother's arms that did not adequately hold the child and keep her safe. (interestingly, traumatized childeren often draw themselves without arms, which art therapists suggest may also indicate that the children feel helpless and unable to protect themselves.)
