How I spent my Friday night:
The awesome thing is that this is pretty much to scale. We really were pretty damn close to the sage. Her megaphone might not have been THAT big though.

-Playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the 100th time
-Start to worry that I'm wasting my limited video gaming time on games that I've already beaten
-Think that I should start working on the mountain of unbeaten JRPGs on my shelf so I can actually accomplish something
-Forced to consider and reevaluate meaning of "accomplishment"
-Get to the fire temple

I very much appreciate being given the opportunity to say "Suck my cock, bitch" in class and, in fact, receive credit towards my participation grade for it.
That is all

It's been a bad week to be a piece of Patrick's jewelry
but a good week to be a piece of Patrick's writing!
Yes, I did just make that joke!
So lets start with the bad stuff. On Wednesday of last week I lost the necklace that I've been wearing since the end of the summer. It was an ace of spades with a skull and crossbones inside of the spade... it looked cooler than it sounds. Anyway, it must have fallen off at some point during the day, because I didn't notice until I got home and tried to take it off... and there was no necklace to remove. I retraced my steps (some of them at least) the next day, and had no luck, so I've pretty much given up on it. Though occasionally miracles happen (Psyduck Keychain -cough cough-)
On Tuesday I lost another piece. I always take off my rings when I wash my hands. So after doing this I was putting them back on when I dropped one. The black one (aka the coolest one) slips out of my hand and goes straight for the drain of the sink. I make a huge Noooo-face, only to realize that it completely missed the drain, bounced off the side of the sink, and then onto the floor. It hits the tile floor of the bathroom and SHATTERS. Completely serious, shattered. I didn't even know rings could do this. There were more pieces than I could possibly find, but I took the largest of them out of... I don't know, depression, nostalgia. The ring was made out of hematite, which I immediately wiki-ed. Apparently it is "harder than iron, but far more brittle." I didn't even know that hardness and brittleness were different things, so my 8th grade geometry teacher is probably mad at me right now. I did terrible on minerals...
SO on to the good stuff
For my short story class, last week was my week to turn in a story and have the whole class read it, correct it, give feedback etc. I wrote a story about statutory rape (bwah bwah) which, to be honest, I thought was really terrible. I wrote it kind of rushed and was kind of expecting people to come back and be like "what the hell did I just read?" But I ended up getting awesome feedback on it. The professor said it was the best thing I've written all semester, which either says bad things for my previous work or says good things about my ability to write about pedophiles.
LAST, and this is the biggest thing...
Brandeis Ensemble Theater (yes, BET, like the channel with black people, lololol) does this thing every year called Quickies. It's where they accept student submitted one act plays and perform a couple of them. I submitted something I wrote in my playwriting class, and I just got an email today saying that it was ACCEPTED! Which means a one act play that I WROTE is going to be directed, cast, costumed, blah blah blah and performed on a Brandeis stage!! So excited!! I still don't know how its going to work exactly, whether I'll be involved in the process in any way. But either way, I get to see my work on stage. And that's not something I expected to see happen any time soon.

Dear Everyone in the World,
Please limit your use of the following words and phrases:
Or maybe just use them better. One cannot be blatantly standing there. And you cannot be literally pissed off.
In return, I will limit my use of the words "awesome" and "wicked" and stop ending sentences with "or whatever."

I realize that I'm essentially speaking in Japanese right now to some of you, but nevertheless...
SOMEONE STOLE MY GILZ!
In Final Fantasy XI, which is an MMORPG, I have a level 64 White Mage. Last time I played I logged out in Jeuno, one of the main cities. Today when I tried to log in, my password didn't work for some reason. I had to call the help line and get them to reset my password so that I could log in. When I finally do get in, I'm in Whitegate, which is NOT where I logged out. Also, all of my Gil (Final Fantasy money) is gone. Also my NOBLES TUNIC IS GONE, which is essentially a really awesome shirt that it took me weeks of saving in order to afford. It creeped me out more than pissed me off (though I am pretty pissed). Going to bed in one place and waking up in another with all your stuff gone? My White Mage got roofied... Anyway, I called a GM (Game Master (Guy who fixes stuf)) and apparently I can request to have my "Data Restored" by getting my account rolled back to the state it was in a week or so ago. I'll lose some stuff, but hopefully it will undo most of what I lost. It also takes a week because they have to "investigate" to make sure my claim is "legitimate" but whatever. I just hope it works. I also hope whoever mugged me gets stabbed, or blizzagaed or something.
What creeps me out even more is that i have NO IDEA how he got my password. Squareenix has been sending out a lot of messages lately about avoiding "phishing" and not to fall for sketchy websites that look like an official FF one that asks for your info. But I've never put my password in anywhere! I have no clue how he stole it! And if he did it once, whats to stop him from haxxoring me again and finding my new password?
Thief used STEAL on White Mage
White Mage used CRY
White Mage pressed RESET

So I moved back on Tuesday. Unfortunately I have so much crap that I couldnt fit it all in one car, and had to take "essentials" on the first trip and everything else on another. And sadly, video games doesn't fall under essentials, though they should. So for my first few days here all I had was boring things like... clothing and food. But today my dad drove the rest of my stuff up, and I could finally finish making my room look the way it does now.
It was really pretty disgusting when I first got there. It was really dirty, quite a few things were broken, and, as you might have seen me mention on facebook, SPIDERS! After a lot of cleaning it became livable, but a lot of things are still broken too. We've been bugging facilities to fix the outlets, lights and etc that were all broken when we moved in. So far all weve been able to get them to do is fix the bathroom light, which is nice because showering in complete darkness is completely creepy. I'm living with Dan, and he has his on room and his own entrance, but we share a kitchen and a bathroom, which are quite small, but at least they exist.
Classes started on thursday, but my schedule is all crazy due to the stupid directed writing classes i'm trying to take. Theyll be really great if i can get in, but the problem is a that I have to apply for them by giving the professor samples of my writing, which i've done already. The annoying part is that they all don't decide until a few days after the first meeting, meaning that there are 4 classes i'm signed up for right now, and up to 3 that I may or may not be actually taking.
Hopefully in a week or two i'll have all my classes decided and can just focus on the 4 I end up in. Until then I just have to try to keep up with all 7 so that I wont be behind in whichever i end up getting to take.

Leaving for Florida tomorrow
I'll be spending a week in close(r) quarters with my family members, so it might be a challenge. But there's also less to fight about when Mickey and Pocahontas are walking nearby.
I'm thinking of making Star Trek 09 my first Blu Ray DVD. Thoughts?
I'll bring you back a goofy hat... or something...
