One of the reasons I do in fact love my job:
noonish: Abdul, one of my favorite installers, comes in and tells me to unlock my car. I do and he loads it with a case of beer and a box of baklava. Then he asks if I have any more puppies for him to look at.
I looked up puppies on craigslist and found a Shih tzu, which he has been wanting. He began squealing with delight and asked me to call them because he was afraid his accent would scare them. I called them and arranged to pick up his puppy at 5:30. He ran to the bank to get me money and was sooo excited for his puppy. I went and picked it up after work and was driving it to his house when I called him and he answered drunk at the moonraker with his brother. I was dubious but dropped off a shih tzu puppy to 2 giggling drunk yemenese men who were exclaiming over and over how cute it was and alternately asking me if I would drink with them and random puppy questions. I left them to their ogling and drinking and am now waiting for timminy to finish up his man time with david so we can go out.
On the way home Abdul and Tarik kept calling me and asking me questions like 'do puppies try to escape from the yard'? I am a little worried about said puppy, but I will make sure Abdul gets things straight.
Tarik told him he would kick his ass if he named his puppy ramsey because it's his youngest son's name. I found it funny because it's my cat's name.
Anyway, saw sarah last night with her friends Lyndsey and Emmanuel. Happy to see her as always. We played darts and plotted schemes to get Emmanuel to stop buying us all drinks. We are going to start a women's curling team in ghana. Emmanuel said funny things like 'have you ever seen a picture of africa'? and 'you can buy mushrooms at albertsons' as if it was out of the ordinary. Then timmy showed up and soon enough it was bedtime. Zzzzzzzz

Im in Norway now. Just got computer access.
Started off in Stockholm and didnt have much time. Went to the Vasa ship museum.. Amazing! Walked around old town and had swedish meatballs for dinner, of course. Went to a bar made completely of ice, down the the glasses.
Off to Elverum- drove across the Swedish country side. Went out for aquavit and talked to a couple of norwegians. Told them about Ballard.
Then to Lillehammer for bobsledding on the Olympic Track- my Team, Wanc, won first place. Then to Geiranger for a fjord cruise and awesome scenery and now we are in voss. Off for white water rafting in a bit!
