A while ago I knit a bunch of baby stuff for a guy in one of my classes. He finished his degree and therefore stopped coming to class. I gave them to the prof who gave the stuff to him. I never knew if he got it or not but today he showed up to class and brought me a thank you card and a $10 coffee gift card. I thought this was really nice and it made me happy. Making the baby stuff was way fun regardless. :)

On December 28th, a federal court issued an order preventing Oregon from implementing its new domestic partnership law until at least Feb. 1.
The court's decision was in response to a lawsuit brought by an out-of-state right wing interest group.
