02:08 pm - ADAM

Adam (2009)

They are two non-american actors playing the main parts of this film. I thought both of them are British but him and married to Claire Danes and she is actually Australian playing New Yorkers. Hugh Dancy (Jane Austen's Book Club, Evening,Confessions of a Shopaholic) plays Adam, a specially gifted man who has Asperger's Sydrome who just lost his father and his job and meets a pretty neighbor who just moved in played by Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids, X-men First Class). I am starting to like her and she does a really pretty cute American accent twang. She also plays vivid and varied characters, telling that she's not only pretty but very interesting as an actor. This film is better than 50/50, I don't know maybe I just saw it previously and there is no point of comparison like the Claire Danes reference. Dancy kinda looks like Levit-Gordon I guess. Its a well made New York film, simple and beautiful. You know that I films set in New York and when I say film instead of movie.

01:41 pm - scented candles for men

Last November I went to Rustan's and saw these scented candles for men like organic herb, tobacco and normal scents like vanilla and they were on sale. Now I just can't remember the brand name of these candles and I tried to look them up on the net and I couldn't  find me one single clue.

11:36 pm - es yu ay tee es

Watching the first episode of SUITS tonight gave me a really good time watching the show and thought this is really a good show. I just watched it because my friend Christine mentioned it to me and out of whim watched it from the Apple TV at first. What I first thought of the first scenes in it was - another lawyer show. But as the plot builds up it got a better promise especially the scene how he got into the job interview got me hooked. The stream on the Apple was bad so I went on and watched it via online streaming in my Macbook. So here is the cast: that guy from SATC Models and Mortals, the guy who videotapes every model that he f+cks; that girl from Alias, Sidney's best friend; Samantha's Boss in Samantha Who? an dI do not know the young guy lead is. Over all the casting is really well done. Its quite a long episode for a show - over an hour. This is not the only thing that made it feel like I was watching a movie. How it was made really made it like a mini-movie, the production, location and the cinematography. This could really make a god movie. Set in New York ! And the architecture is really good too. It has a hint of fashion too and humor. So at this point its safe that I like the show.

11:01 pm - TV 'lalah' Land

Let me tell you this. I have been in TV land more often than usual for the past two years. And I have thought of the really good shows that I have watched and seen. Most of them already ended and very short lived. Thank God they were as they won't be stretched into their demise and characters come and go and they just sleep around. I have to admit Sex and the City - all six seasons of it really stuck to the main characters, to the main story and not on a commercial bandwagon and depended on guest stars or plot twists just giving you a clue that the writers didn't really know what to do but to just bring in the bucks till they squeeze it all out. I am proud that the show remained true to its own talent and nature which was sex, girls, NYC and fashion. Friends could be one too but I never did watch it till its second half. Though I would believe if I had, I would have enjoyed it to the end. SOme shows are good but too many seasons followed so I stopped following the too complicated plots. So let's not mention them here.

Here is a list of shows I really loved, and proud to be because it really suited my entertainment bones which means I could get a DVD of these shows and watch them all over again. (concluded)
PUSHING DAISIES - 2 seasons
SAMANTHA WHO - 2 seasons
WONDERFALLS - 1 season
SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL - 3 seasos (I think)
KINGS - 1 season
SKINS (UK) - Season 1 and 2

And the following shows I was able to watch in the past two years. Most of them were short:
PILLARS OF THE EARTH
GAME OF THRONES
SPARTACUS Blood and Sand
SPARTACUS Gods of the Arena
HUNG

12:02 am - Paul Rudd

P
aul Rudd in How Do You Know was amazing. The film is witty and not your typical romantic comedy. I think Paul does this one better than the silly roles he does mostly. It reminds you of the actor that he is when you watche din in Clueless and Romeo+Juliet - the matinee, romantic lead not so much as the Object of My Affection type roles. This films is cute in a way that you tend not to hate the guy who the girl didn't choose but somehow makes you hate the girl. Maybe the character didnt show enough of her side, liking the guy or guys in a way.

02:13 pm - Why at Bakit?

Kung nakikita kang naka sporty attire palagi (i.e. running/ trainers shoes, singlet) buong araw and you didn't even get out to run or hit the gym. All you did was get off from bed and do nothing. Its like your staple outfit already. Its like getting ready to run but too tired to do it. Its like standing on the edge of a cliff but too scared to jump off from it.

That's me. And I feel sore and useless.
