Woah  
So it's been like...4 months since my last post.
As you probably guessed, I'm not really an active LJer anymore.

It's about time I actually posted that I won't be coming on here anymore.
I've been made a moderator on the official Veronicas message board, which is a big deal for me since I practically live on there, and the girls themselves are admins. With that, and being in Year 12 etc. I just don't have the time or motivation to keep up with this journal.

Last time I was on here I promised a recount of my meet and greet with The Veronicas, which happened in December. I know a few of you probably still want to hear about it, so I'll just copy my post on the boards (ignore the parts that don't make sense if you're not a regular boardie)



I'm still a psychotic concert whore, that hasn't changed. I'm seeing Operator Please on April 5th, and the Bullet For My Valentine/Atreyu/Avenged Sevenfold show in May. And last week I went to see Kelly Clarkson. Aaaaaand, I met her. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life.
I won a meet and greet through her fanclub (which I only joined for the opportunity). It was pretty damn lucky, I got it on my first try.



The M&G was very quick and official. She's absolutely gorgeous though, very warm and cuddly with fans. I got her presents which she loved, and she gave me the biggest hug. I also got a photo, and as I was leaving she stroked my hair and said "Oh my god! PRETTY hair! It's like a Pantene commercial" . My head almost exploded but I managed to laugh and say thanks, and then I left.

So that's it. My final LJ post. For now at least, I may decide in 57970 years that I want to come back. But until then, adios. If you want to talk to me on msn (if I know you well enough), just let me know in the comments and I'll add you :)

Update and graphics  
Just a quick update...

My trip to Sydney was great. It was awesome seeing all the family again. My cousin Jackie and I got on really well, so that was good.  
The plane trips were interesting. This was the first time I'd flown, and I almost threw up both times. I had an unfortunate accident involving golden syrup, a plane toilet and bad turbulence. And that is all I will say on that matter.

The Veronicas are doing another concert in Adelaide. Being the rabid fan I am, I got tickets to this show aswell. Second row :D
All by pure chance actually. The tickets were supposed to be on sale on a Friday. The site hadn't been updated the few days before they were due to go online, so I randomly checked the day before. And boom! There they were, on sale early. So I snapped up second row centre. AND my best friend from the message board got front row, directly in front of me. So we'll get to hang out with each other during the concert. Should be fun fun fun.

wowza.  

I'll be flying to Sydney on Friday afternoon/evening! Going to meet up with Mum (who's currently there) and visit family I haven't seen in about 163849 years, along with some I've never met. We're staying until about Monday I think, so I'll be missing for those few days.

In other news: there is no other news

Actually, I take that back. There's less than amonth until I'm front row at The Veronicas concert. Hannah and I still going ahead with making the girls presents. We're making these little bags in Fashion Design, and we're going to include them with the presents. They'll be blue and purple stripes, and we're going to sew buttons on them and spell out their names in beads/buttons. We also want to make them some jewellery, but that depends on if we find any decent beads at a good price. Especially since Hannah's a cheapskate and all :P

I have a new home. A Twilight thread has been made on the Veronicas message board. As if I needed another reason to stay online for hours. I've already made a new friend because of my Twilight obsession. Her name's Dottie and she's like my twin. We're both completely insane, and how a lot in common. Look out world

I bought my Kelly Clarkson concert tickets on Monday morning. After a bit of a freak out which involved me accidently cancelling my tickets (long story) I ended up getting some pretty good seats. I'm a bit peeved that there isn't a mosh pit for this concert, I was expecting one.  But there are bonuses to having seats so I guess it's all good.
I'm in section A, row B. The seating is kind of set out like the Christina concert, and I'm on the raised side seating on the floor again. Except I'm on the opposite side, 2 rows forward and half a row (lengthwise) closer.

I finally actually did something in my holidays today, rather than staying at home watching TV and going on the computer. My friend Krystle and I went and saw Hairspray. The movie was great! It dragged on a bit in the middle, but the ending definately made up for that. Only problem is I have that damn Ladies Choice song stuck in my head. I may have to get the soundtrack sometime, there were some really good songs. After the movie we went shopping. I got a new Veronicas tshirt, bright orange and bright blue nailpolish, Material Girls DVD and Hilary Duff's Most Wanted CD. My legs are killing me from HOURS of walking around. Shopping is hard work.

I'm both dreading and eagerly awaiting Monday. Dreading because school starts up again and I have quite a few assignments to get started on and (hopefully) finish before then. Knowing me I'll be spending most of Sunday cramming to finish it all. I'm looking forward to it though because season 3 of Supernatural is starting in Australia! I'm so happy that the channels here have finally realised that to keep their viewers they need to start showing their programs pretty close to the airdates in the US. Because of this, I get new Heroes and Supernatural pretty close to when they air overseas so it's a lot easier to avoid spoilers.  Although, it was pretty hard after the Supernatural premiere to avoid and ignore all the squeeing and icon posts. 

I really need to make a new journal header. I've had this one for so long. It'll definately be of The Veronicas again. There have been some amazing new photos of them recently, new photoshoots and red carpet photos from the Australia Nick TCA which they co-hosted with Zac Efron. In addition to the photos, someone on the official boards (AKA my second home) posted this video of them being 'slimed'. Aww and what a sweetheart of Zac to tell them they "look beautiful in green" *laughs* Speaking of him, he also came out and sang a teensy part of Hook Me Up with them but I haven't seen any videos around the place yet.

The Veronicas- presale tickets  
Oh yeah. Guess who got presale tickets to The Veronicas concert in December? Yep, that'd be me. 
And not just any tickets either, but fucking FRONT ROW. BOOYAH

I bought Hannah a ticket so I don't have to be a loner seeing my favourite band. Luckily I had some money saved up for an event like this, the Kelly Clarkson tickets go on sale in less than a week. If I hadn't been so strict about how much money I've spent in the last few months then I wouldn't have had enough. As it is, I barely have enough because I'd gone shopping last weekend. I only spent about $30 but it would've made a difference if I'd taken more moolah out with me. 

It goes without saying that I'm extremely happy with my seats. I was originally pretty pissed that some of the other cities would have mosh pits but Adelaide wouldn't. But honestly, if I had to choose between front row seated and a mosh pit, I'd definately choose the seats. I've been lucky enough to get front row every time I've been in a mosh but that doesn't mean I would've for this particular concert. And this way I get the uber excitement of being OMGSOCLOSE to them, but I don't have to be squished in with a bunch of sweaty people in a claustrophobia inducing moshpit. And I can go to the toilet during the support act if they suck and not worry about losing my spot. It's a win win situation. 

Hannah and I are definately going ahead with our plans to make the girls a present. Even if we don't meet them before the show through our super duper stalking abilities we can just throw them onto the stage or something! *laughs* 
I still don't know WHAT we're going to give them. We definately want to make some jewellery, but I was hoping to make a little gift-bag with lots of awesome little presents and a letter or something. I had an idea of getting Hannah (who is one crazy talented artist) to draw them a picture of Jack Sparrow or something since they love Johnny Depp.

Ok. 2 months, 3.5 days and counting...

Concerts, concerts and more concerts. And other crap.  
Lots of concert detailzinis. 

Lisa Mitchell
I saw Lisa Mitchell on Saturday as a support act for a band called The Hampdens. It was pretty damn good. It was outdoors at a pub, and a very casual setting. There were just a few tables and the stage was lit by fairy lights. Twas pretty :)
We got there at about 8:30ish and got a table right in front of the stage. We sat around until 9:30 when Lisa Mitchell came on for her set. It was just her and her guitar. You can tell she's still quite shy about performing (she's my age so I don't blame her) but she sounded great. She played about 10 songs or so, including a few I know from her EP and demos on her myspace. No one was singing along because, well she was the support act and it just wasn't that kind of concert. I sang along under my breath, it was hard not to. Especially during her cover of Kate Miller Heidke's, another favourite of mine, "Space They Cannot Touch". 
After Lisa's set she came off stage and sat a table next to ours to stay and watch the main act. Hannah and I finally decided to work up the courage to go talk to her. We had a quick chat, including mentions of Kate Miller Heidke and Dann Hume (from Evermore, who she worked with on her EP). We each got a photo and then we left. 


The Veronicas
YESSS! The Veronicas are touring again! I was so freaking excited to hear about this. The tickets go on sale in about 4 days, the presale ones anyway. Officially they're on sale end of next week. Once again Hannah and I will be going, and we're hoping to meet Jess and Lisa again. We're going to hang around the back earlier this time, and stalk them. We're going to make some radtastic jewellery and other presents for the girls too. YAY! I can't wait :D I got their single on the weekend and it had two bonus songs. It seems like they're sticking with the new electro pop sound. I like it. It'll be interesting to see how they perform the new songs live since I believe they're not fans of performing to backing tracks.

As a result of the tour announcement and all the new pictures flooding in from their recent promo work, I've made a shitload of Veronicas icons for my latest batch.

Kate Miller Heidke
KMH is touring again aswell, and she is coming to Adelaide. However, it is at a pub so the event is 18+. The same went for the Lisa Mitchell gig. I emailed that venue and they said I was welcome to go as long as I had a guardian who was over 18. I figured the same would apply for this gig, but I emailed the venue just in case. They said I would be allowed to enter if I had a parent with me. Specifically a parent this time. And each underage person who goes is required to have their parent accompany them. So that's out of the question. It's a damn good thing I saw and met her recently, otherwise I would be seriously pissed off. As it is, I'm a bit annoyed. But I have heaps of other things I have to pay for soon, so I guess it's all good. 


Graphics
I've started making my latest batch tonight. So far I've made about 20 of The Veronicas. I've got some Emily Browning pictures I want to use, and some of Christina Aguilera. There are also a few of Supernatural. Since it's holidays now I should be able to get them finished in the next couple of days, and posted soon after. But please, someone go request! I've found the last few requests I've gotten pretty fun to do. If you don't have any HQ images to post, you could request some interest icons. I've been eager to try them out but no one has requested them yet. So head on over and be the first. You can find the post HERE. 

Supernatural
OMFG..awesome awesome news. Usually channel ten screens Supernatural in January, about 4 months or so after the US has gotten the new season premiere. But not this time! As they've recently done with a couple of other shows (House, Californication etc.) they are going to be "fast-tracking" season 3. It's going to premiere here on October 15. That's less than a month away. I definately wasn't expecting that. I'm hoping to buy the season 2 boxset on the 10th when I next get money. Australia's actually releasing it with special features this time, so I don't need to have it shipped from the US. Boo-yah!


Hmm..I need a new mood theme. I think I have a Twilight one bookmarked somewhere. When I can be bothered I may upload that. Anyway, it is now time for bed. Peace earthlings

Tickets are $85 and go on sale on Monday, October 8. Less than a fortnight away! I will definately have the money for tickets. I really hope that it's general admission, that way I can get uber-close and it doesn't matter much when I buy the tickets. I always get them as soon as they go on sale, but that doesn't guarantee a good seat. With GA it's just so much easier, and a hell of a lot more fun.

So..now for a real update. Not much has happened since my last entry. My concussion is slowly starting to ease up. It's been pretty good for the last few days, only acting up when I'm reading or looking at a computer screen for a long time without glasses. Which I'm doing now *facepalm*. And people being extremely loud and annoying in half of my classes at school it doesn't exactly help. 

Tomorrow I'm going out shopping with Hannah. I'm planning to buy myself a dress, possibly one from The Veronicas range. I'm also getting their new single 'Hook Me Up' it has two B-Sides otherwise I probably wouldn't be buying it. I'm also getting an EP called 'Said One To The Other', which is by a singer called Lisa Mitchell. She's my age and was on Australian Idol last year (my favourite). We're actually seeing her tomorrow night as a support act for an Australian band called The Hampdens. It's technically an 18+ gig but I emailed the venue and they said as long as we're accompanied by a guardian and off the venue by midnight then it's ok. So my older sister is coming with us. I had to buy her a ticket to get her to come, luckily they were only $10. I could've gotten them for free since I'm part of the Lisa street team but I found out AFTER I'd already bought my tix. Grr.

Um...there's not much else to write about. I've got two oral presentations to write, as well as an essay, two design projects and a monologue to choose and memorise for drama. I'm going to be pretty dang busy over the school holidays after next Friday.

Urrghhh  
I haven't posted a real update in awhile. My head is currently KILLING ME. I have a concussion. I went to the Royal Adelaide Show yesterday, which is a big annual carnival basically. I only went on two rides but they just happened to be spastic, upside-down, extremely fast, stomach-churning ones. My poor brain got dealt a hard blow yesterday from all the jiggling and being jerked around on those damn rides.
The rest of my body is aching from walking around all day and holding onto the rides so tightly because I was shit scared.
A proper update should be coming in the next few days. Maybe. There'll be some icons, and some photos from yesterday

The Veronicas- Hook Me Up single  
Hmm..just heard a 30 second clip of the girls' soon-to-be single. It is so DIFFERENT. I like it, but I think they'll lose a lot of original fans. 
The song is very dancy, electro pop. I can't imagine the film clip. But I have seen pictures, and I'm not happy. Jess' new blonde hair looks horrible and unhealthy. It's not so much the colour that bothers me, it just looks like straw. I want the uber shiny purdy black hair back :(
Aaaanndd...they look like Britney Spears in the pictures. School girl outfits, knee high socks, boots. That sort of thing. 
I just hope they're acting as characters... *prays*

I heard the song using an iTunes preview, but apparently it's only on the Australian version. So if anyone in the US wants to hear, someone on the boards recorded the preview so you can hear. You can download it here:

2 weeeeks later...  
Once again, it's taken me forever to post an entry. I can't even remember the last time. So I'll just sum up:

New Moon and Eclipse. 
Both amazing and perfect :) Seriously, one of the most addictive book series EVER. I was practically dead this Monday because I was up until 1:30am reading Eclipse and then I had to get up at like 7 for school. Ugh, never again. Well actually, knowing me and how I get with good books, it probably WILL happen again. 

Graphics
I've been making some more decorated icons, rather than my usual plain ones. Only problem is, now I lose my creativity and inspiration after making like only 30 icons. But so far, I like them. I might just have to do smaller posts from now on. Which is better for people will slow internet anyway. But I'm gonna need some more resources, otherwise they're all gonna look exactly the same. So if anyone knows of some great places to get textures and the like- let me know!

Oh.. and I also did a few requests on the message board which is my second home. I've corrupted my friend Bron- she's now an obsessed Twilight fan too. Go me!! *struts*  Anyway, she requested a Twilight signature using Gaspard Ulliel and Emily Browning. So I made her one, and she loved it and is currently using it. Now there's two people with Twilight signatures..I'm slowly spreading it around.

Concerts
Still no word yet on when all these concerts I'm waiting for will be happening. So I'm stuck saving up indefinately and being very strict with my money. It doesn't help that the Royal Adelaide Show (a carnival) is coming up soon, after my birthday. That's going to cost like $60 if I go, which I want to. Justin Timberlake is coming to Adelaide in November though, and one of my friends Pola almost died with excitement. She absolutely loves him. I'm being super duper rad (well, Mum actually) and buying the tickets for her since she doesn't know how to do the online orders. But jeeez.... this one's more expensive than Christina. Looking to be about $150 or so per ticket.

The Veronicas
Yay! Finally, there are things ahead. The new single comes out on radio on the 27th, their fashion range is out next weekend on the 25th, and the new album will be released in time for Xmas! And new music means touring. BOOYAH! They're actually doing a couple of instores next week, but of course they're only in NSW, Victoria and QLD. Errrggh I'm really getting sick of that. 

Well that's all for now. This has to turned out to be pretty freaking long for just 'summing up'. I'm going to continue capping 'The Perfect man' and making some iconzinis

I found out two things last night.
Paramore is touring Australia in October. 

When I found this out I went spastic and I was soooo happy. I went checking for tour dates immediately and found them on Ticketek.
That's when I found out item number 2.

Adelaide is not on the tour dates. Neither is Perth. GODDAMIT! *stabs*

This is the first time that a band has skipped Adelaide and I've actually wanted to go. Bah. 
Oh well, I have heaps of concerts coming up that I need to save for anyway, and most of those I've been a fan of the performer for a lot longer than I've been listening to Paramore. But still...that concert would've rocked. Their singer, Hayley, is amazing live. And she's a little crazy ball of energy

In other news, I am rereading Twilight already. It's so damn addictive! And I found some especially purdy icons that will be making the rotations in my icon space. 

I'm probably going to the doctor on Monday. I hurt my foot a couple of weeks ago and since then it's been pretty annoying. It just won't heal. Everytime I walk for even 5 minutes or so, it starts hurting again. I left school early on Thursday because it was so bad, and stayed home yesterday (and stayed on Photoshop) to rest it.

Oh and I have a new song addiction. "Fading" by Kelly Clarkson, it's the bonus track on the Japanese release of her album.
