Finally, a goblin that truly shows a little about what I know about goblin culture and society.

The gypsum cement mold:

The mask itself, pulled out of the mold with horns glued on:

reinforcing the horns with about 10 layers of tissue paper and Sculpt or Coat:

Skipped step: gesso layer

Base coat:

Shadows added:

Highlights:

Metallic highlights and high gloss varnish:

Complete:

Big thanks to toadgirl who so generously gave me so many beads and findings and everything. It was so much fun to go though and see which would go best.

This mask has really taught me a lot about goblin culture. I've been making notes and am planning on adding a Goblin section to my website to showcase what I've learned.

Simple but nice, I think. Just a basic pretty mask.

I have some really lovely handmade jewelry up for auction, just in time for the upcoming holidays. Earrings, pendants and brooches.

I'd forgotten about this painting. I suppose it's not surprising as the Toad Faery is a quiet and retiring sort. I found her hiding on a block of cold press paper, not even cut off of it. There's a really lovely print of her up at GothAuctions as well, on textured watercolor paper.
