Your brain: 40% interpersonal, 140% visual, 60% verbal, and 160% mathematical!

Congratulations on being 400% smart! Actually, on my test, everyone is. The above score breaks down what kind of thinking you most enjoy doing. A score above 100% means you use that kind of thinking more than average, and a score below 100% means you use it less. It says nothing about how good you are at any one, just how interested you are in each, relatively. A substantial difference in scores between two people means, conclusively, that they are different kinds of thinkers.

Matching Summary: Each of us has different tastes. Still, I offer the following advice, which I think is obvious:

Don't date someone if your interpersonal percentages differ by more than 80%.

Don't be friends with someone if your verbal percentages differ by more than 100%.

Don't have sex with someone if their math percentage is over 200%.

    <lj:music>Taking Back Sunday - …Slowdance On The Inside</lj:music>

I've told people recently I'd send them pictures of my new toys, so I'm gonna put them up here for easy viewing:

First off: A New (Old) piece of marketing from the store, for my room: The Game Cube Neon Sign! (We got a replacement for work, this one still works, but isn't called for anymore in the current marketing kit. So, employee grabs! Now I just need to find a spot for it... )

Next off: STEEL BATALLION! I love this game. It's so much fun, but really freaking hard! This is an overal view of the main controller...

Let's get these foot pedals out of the way...

Close ups now, starting with the left portion (The three parts are connected at the bottom, using a 40-pin ribbon cable, and secured together with other plastic thingies. Really sturdy construction overall.)

Taking a closer look there, at the five toggle switches...

Now the center portion...

And lastly, the right portion.

Also on the list of cool new toys: The Silent Scope Light Gun (Which I picked up when I got SS: Complete used from the store.) Here's the gun in Rifle mode:

And you can take all the other stuff off for a shotgun mode too. Which is awesome for House of the Dead.

The Light Rifle is cool, one of my favorite features is if you set it up right, you can make it so that when you put your eye to the scope while playing SS, it'll do the Zoom thingy on the screen, and you can modify it to fill your field of vision from the scope, basically mimicking a real scope... well... at least the real scope used in the Arcade version. So yeah, that's cool. (Only $39.99 at GameStop!).

Steel Batallion is really fucking cool.  It's basically a big mech game.  Only it's not so much a game, as a fucking simulator.  It's so freaking cool.  It has all these little nuances and everything, almost as if it were a machine.  It even stalls and fails to start sometimes XD  What some people (Dee) would complain about I find one of the coolest features: Basically, your "save file" is your pilot registry, and what this means is basically this, if you fail to eject before your VT is destroyed (VT being a "Vertical Tank" meaning "Mech"), you die.  So, if your pilot registry has you being recorded as KIA, guess what you can't do?  That's right. Continue.  You're dead, dead people can't pilot VT's, right? Which I've done.  Twice.  I've also been fired.  Yes.  Fired.  Again, the jist of it is you have so many Supply Points.  You get more for successfully finishing missions/killing more enemy VTs, etc.  So, even if you do manage to eject, you lost your VT.  So, you requisition a new one.  It costs 3000 Supply Points.  You run out of points, and well...   You're "relegated".  I.e., Fired.  Does that make it harder?  Fuck yeah!  Does that make it less fun?  Fuck no!  It's refreshing to finally find a game that literally demands a certain amount of skill.  It reminds me of the old Rainbow 6 games (One shot, you're dead!).  Suffice it to say, I have yet to get passed Mission 4.  >.>;

Anyway, I'm done ranting.  ::leaves::

    <lj:music>Everclear - Father of mine</lj:music>

So yeah, I just spoke with Nick for awhile and I am only making this post because of that. Normally, I wouldn't bother taking the time to make this post, but here it is! My long overdue post thah has no point other than to show off my new digs using incredibly small pictures!

Starting off is a picture of the couch and the new TV I bought because the old TV didn't work with the game systems, so of course we got a nice 27" Flat Screen with some of the nice ammenities. Also pictured, you can see the PS2, XBox, PSOne, and the Gamecube I just got Dee as an early Christmas present (along with Donkey Konga, hence the bongo controller on the floor. On either side of the TV are the games/DVDs of which we have partaken in recently.

Next up is a meaningless picture of the Storage closet which STILL has my graduation gown hung on it, and our "coffee table" (Read: TV Box we threw a cover on to use as a table)

And who could forget the Couch-Bed! With an endtable full of junk and Dee's stuffed dog I got her from Build-A-Bear. It's name is "Boogenhagen". And he is infact dressed for winter. With Sunglasses. And a bone.

On the other endtable, you can see my neat little organization system for Bills/Paperwork and such. Oh. And some magazines and waterbottles. And the nifty grey cord which provides me with the internet!

My computer. In all it's glory. Along with the Game Boy, some garbage, and that black thing on top of my computer is the devil. (Read: Alarm Clock). Oh, and the yellow thingy is my Corporate ID Badge from TechXNY, which was lame.

Can't forget my marketing I took from the store over the computer:

I wish this came out clearer, because it's awesome. Not my head in the corner, but the fact that I have the Fable Standup from the store, and it looks like he's fascinated and gawking at the Half-Life 2 box. Oh, and our food in the cabinet behind it, plus a bunch more marketing posters and stuff from the store which I have yet to put up.

Our pre-order Star Wars figure for SW: Battlefront:

The top of the old entertainment center. Proudly displayed are oversized boxes/displays for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Both excellent games. And the centerpiece, my copy of the Steam Half-Life 2 Gold package still in it's collector's box.

The rest of the entertainment center with the old TV and VCR, and some of our DVDs and games, plus some game guides and magazines. I'm very happy with our purchases of Angel Seasons 1 & 2 there on the second shelf. You can also see the SNES sneaking out of the bottom there, and not pictured next to it is the a functional NES. =o

An anonymous cedar chest that I usually through my clothes on, and inside...

More games and DVDs! Some of them were Dee's that got loose and are missing boxes (Somehow... ) so I stole some Sleeves from the store for them. >.>

And next to the couch, Dee's school stuff, plus Trivial Pursuit 90's Edition. Which is sweet.

Also of note with all the nifty stuff we've been doing is our game server/website.

Check out the site here: http://www.fragspersecond.net
I've also been doing alot of work on a revision, hopefully going to be ready pretty soon: http://beta.fragspersecond.net/
Also feel free to check out the DoD Server at: 66.135.33.205:27015

Oh yes... I had a livejournal at one point...

OK, so big status update is what I'm shooting for, but what your probably going to get isn't that impressive.

Let's start off from when I posted last, about the NYS ID/Learner Permit. Basically, I got all my ID things and went to the DMV and they turned down like 4 of them because they didn't have my middle initial, but my Social Security card did. Super. I still haven't gotten the permit or ID, but that's ok, since I think I'm still a point short of getting it.

Next up, Jobs. Yeah, so about 7 weeks ago or so, I got hired as a Sales Associate at RadioShack. Basically, the first day of work, they fired another guy at my store and the guy went crazy and tried to pull a knife on the District Manager (DM, from now on) and yeah. Yes, a guy really tried to kill the DM on my first day of work. But I'm a trooper, so oh well. The next day, the DM is back. I get yelled at. Why? For sitting on a stool thingy when the store was empty. How dare I? So yeah, I stuck with RadioShack for about a total of 3 weeks. Especially when I got to the point where I worked a 48 hour week and brought home a $197.32 paycheck for it.. That was about the point where I was like, "Fuck this game!"

So yeah, one Sunday, I'm scheduled to come into work, and the next day the whole store is scheduled to come into work for DUH DUH DUH Inventory! So yeah, basically I went into my local GameStop, seeing that I knew they were hiring, and looking for an Assistant Manager at that, so I basically walk in and talk to Matt, the manager, and a friend of Dee's and say "I here your looking for an Assistant Manager..." and he looks at me and says "You looking for a job?" "Sure, cus I hate the one I got." At this point he pulls out an application and before I even bother filling it out tells me I'm hired. So, of course I go in the back and call RadioShack... "Yeah, Jhansci? I'm not coming in today..." "Oh?..." "And for that matter, I'm not coming in tomorrow. Or the day after that. In fact, I'm not coming in ever again, I quit. Sorry for sticking you guys with inventory and no notice, but I got another offer and had to take it. *click*".

So yeah, now I'm an Assistant Store Manager at the GameStop in the Jefferson Valley Mall. Well, to be technical, I'm still just a keyholder, until Jim Miller, my DM, decides to make me an official ASM, which should be in a couple weeks. I love my job. I get great discounts, work with great people (I just got Joe hired on with us as a part time grunt last night.) and it's fun, easy work. The stress is far less than the RatShack and I'm doing better. I'm still working pretty hard, and getting fairly exhausted from it (Although staying up to 1:30 watching Bowling for Columbine with Dee, knowing I had to open the next day, does not help). We're in the process of cleaning up the store right now... will be for a week or so. Basically the previous manager of the store, Ken, did not do much of anything, really. So we're essentially cleaning up his mess. It's a great job though, and I make good steady money. There's a good chance that when Jim decides to give me the thumbs up, they'll actually pull me on salary for 28k, If he wants to salary me, I'm gonna push for no less than 30k though. The only reason I think this is because if Jim knew that I usually work about 45 hours a week, and offer more, then he'd salary me because I'm only allotted 40/week from Payroll, but Matt keeps tabs of how many I've gone over. Eventually I'll be getting a free weeks paid vacation XD

So yeah, even though I'm at work and thinking work 75% of the time, I still have a life outside it. Dee's doing well, although she's stressed out about school. She gets alot of homework usually. Last night, I helped her finish up her homework and we got some movies (as I mentioned earlier). We still go out from time to time, but the I don't think we will as often for a while, as I have to pay off my credit card. Which is ok, and I'll be making enough to cover more than half of it this week. Amongst spending time with Dee, I've also picked up Fable and Star Ocean... and lots of other games to blow time on... although, mostly Fable recently, which is an awesome game... And some other select games....

Yeah, so right now, I'm running late to open the store... and I'm tired... and hungry.... goodnight...

So, I decided I need to go ahead and get my NYS Learners Permit ASAP, which is cool. OK, problems: It costs up to $50 to take get a Learners Permit in NY, where as it cost me $13 in Oregon. What I think I need to do is get a Non-driver ID to suffice me until I get a Learners Permit, as I have to make an appointment to get a learners permit.

Also to complain about, NY's dumb "6 Point ID System". I basically have to bring in a bunch of proofs of identity. I think for me, I have to bring in: My Oregon ID Card, My Birth Certificate, My Diploma, My Change of Address Confirmation Letter, My Benson ID Card and Final Report Card, and my Social Security Card. Then I get to schedule my permit appointment and they'll tell me to bring $40-50. Which I don't have, because I can't open a bank account without a NY ID card, so yeah... They make this too dificult x.x

I'm studying the NY Driver Manual right now, and after I'm done I'll take their online quizzes and if I do well enough and I have time left before Dee gets home, I'll walk down to Bucci's and see if they're hiring, but I don't think I'll have the time... Maybe tomorrow. Does anyone want to go out with me one of these weekends and help me apply for jobs (Mostly by ferrying me :D )?

Yeah, so I went to the bank yesterday to open a checking account at HSBC, only I couldn't. Turns out you need two pieces of government issued ID in order to open an account if you have an out-of-state ID. So yeah, today I call the DMV here and sit and study the NYS Driver Manual in order to get a NY Driver Permit, cus apparently in NYS, even if you're 18, you still have to have a permit for 6 months before you can take the road test. ::Shrug::

H'okay, So...

I'm here at Dee's house. Dee is at school, today is her last day. Joe and Roxy called, they're gonna pick me up around 2~3 to get some food with them and hang out. Well, what has happened. So far? Alot of nothing. I went out saturday with Dee, her mom, and Allie to get myself fitted for my tux. I got a perty black tux, with the cornered lapel, and a navy blue vest (to compliment Dee's Dress) with matching pocket...thing, "way down" collared shirt, black tie, and shiny shoes. Mmmm. Dad sent me a letter with a check in it (Yay! XD), so I'm pretty much waiting on that. Once it's here, I'll take it down to HSBC and open a checking account and deposit all my monies in it. Which is now like $100, if that. Down from $400. XD Tuxes are expensive x.x

On another note, City of Heroes is an awesome game.
I know what you're thinking. "Everyone does them, I have to do them too or I won't be cool!". Well, if you are a male, you are correct. You can't be cool unless you have giant pecs that you can crush rocks in between. However, if you are a female, DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. Steroids ruin young girls lives. Yes, they grow your muscles big and strong, but at what cost?
Take young Annah for example. She was a promising young student, going into the great field of Electrical Engineering. She worked hard in her studies and eventualy failed getting the title of Valedictorian. She went into a depression and thought she had found the answer to relieving all her stress by working out at the gym. While this was a healthy choice, she quickly got caught up in the social scene at the gym. Suddenly, she was accepted, but only as a mouse of a woman. All the other woman made fun of her pale, white, twig-like Engineer arms. She started to fall back into depression again until she found the answer... OR WAS IT!?!
