She could still taste the sweet taste of the coffee that they had together at the small cafe as she arrived at the tall building stopping in her pace her dark eyes darting around a few times before entering the building feeling the cool breeze from the air conditioning fan which made a low hum in the silent building making her way up the steps, thinking only of one thing, him he had seemed to be planted inside of her head the last few days that's all she could of thought about and the feeling of regret twisted and taunted her stomach from not getting a number from him with a long sigh escaping her lips she came to the room in which the lecture was being held the door opening with a swift movement of her hand her piercing eyes landing on a few of the people she then saw him, her breath nearly catching in her throat..no, it couldn't be..it was Joah.
----------------------------------------
The class seemed to flow on and on the clock on the wall slowly ticking away as she wanted this class more than ever to come to an end hearing the teacher finally say those words "I will see you all next week" was like heaven as she couldn't stand up more quickly, quietly calming herself as she watched Joah for a while before making her way outside, purposly waiting until he passed as she yelled out softly "Hey! Joah!" jogging up to him until she was at his side, he turned around to face her greeting her with a dashing smile "Hey, Alina, right?"
"Right, We met at the cafe, I didn't know you took the night school here."
"Only this class, I've always wanted to study English." Alina nearly seemed to stare but stopped herself as she listened intently to him.
"It's good seeing you again, I would have took your number but you left so suddenly.." Her voice drifted a little as her gaze seemed to lock with his, almost lost in his gaze and never wanting to return to reality.
"Yeah, sorry about that, You want to go do something right now? I know a pretty good Diner a block away from here,if you are interested." He asked in a polite tone with another smile, as Alina simply nodded, Could this guy be for real?
----------------------------------------
They shared a plate of fries together as they shared there life's, she had found out nearly everything about this Joah, even his last name which was, Hayes, strangely familiar though she only shrugged it off in her mind, He was too interesting to worry about anything, She never mentioned her mother partly because she didn't want to bring the mood down to a complete low though, it was about to change.
"You live with your family?" Joah asked bringing a fry to his lips and taking a small bite as he studied her face noticing her smile drop just a fraction.
"No, actually live with my roommate in an apartment just a few blocks away."
"It must be good living on your own, feels free huh?, No parents telling you what to do, I'm sure your Mom and Dad do that still, hm?" He asked with a hint of laughter in his voice, as Alina only smiled faintly.
"My Dad sometimes does, But..My Mom, she, Um..died when I was just a little girl." Her throat tightened just a bit, as she sank back into the seat of the booth, as Joah felt like a complete fool as he ran a hand through his dark strands of hair.
"I'm sorry Alina.." Alina simply gave a shake of her head to that, a faint smile tugging at the side of her lips.
"Cassidy Jenner will always live on, especially in my world." She spoke her mothers name almost heavenly with a slight smile, but the look on Joah's face could have broken ice as he quickly fumbled with his pocket pulling out a few dollars, the name had disturbed him in and she noticed very well.
"Um, Alina I have to go, I remembered I have something to do,You have my number, call me.." He couldn't have said it quicker as he gave her a small smile, moving out the diner.
As Alina was left slumped in her seat, the only thought in her head, Did..that just happen?
