The coolest thing I've seen all day

Jake 2 is a java version Quake 2. It's fully functional. If you have the Quake 2 PAK files, you can play the entire game, or the client can download the demo PAK files for you. Runs great for me even on fullscreen. I'm such a fucking dork. I'm all high on pizza and wine and downloading World of Warcraft and Rainbow Six: Raven Shield. I don't think that I'll be updating for awhile (not that I'm regular to begin with) once I get WoW up and running, but it'll be a great companion for my nights off once I start third shift (11p-7a) on Monday. Yeah, I also got a taste of Rainbow Six 3 for Xbox last weekend, and I can't get enough. It made me regret selling my own Xbox mere months ago. Being able to use weapons that I have actually trained with (and some that I just wished I'd trained with) to kill terrorists just makes me giddy. Rainbow Six is also a pretty good novel. I had read the book several years ago, but was really skeptical how Tom Clancy would translate into the video game world. By the way, have you heard about this blind video game master? Fucking craziness. I cried today when I reformatted to reinstall Windows XP. I've got my HD partitioned for dual boot, but I still need to reinstall Suse. Linux just can't game like I want to. I had the Cable guy come out today and fix my fucking connection. I guess the lazy yard cutters severed my cable line outside. Funny how it only stopped working at 10 am this morning....a whole two days after they've been here. I guess they're just really adept in such matters. I just counted myself lucky that I actually got any action out of tech support at all. Lazy fuckers. Well, I'm going to go start playing a game of some kind or another. There's something about wine that exacerbates my impulsive nature. Oh, yeah. Jug! I wanna do something this week before I go back to work!
