Are you thinking what i'm thinking?
So a conversation occurred with one of my 7th grade students that week. I am not sure if I should be concerned or pleased by what came out of my student's mouth.

Student: I really plan to use all of the lessons you have taught me in history class.
Me: oh, that's great, how?
Student: In my plans to take over the world.

Yes, yes, you are all correct. I am pleased, very pleased.

So I take it that each time you do a unit on one of the many megalomaniacs and Great Conquerors, you point out exactly which item on the Evil Overlord checklist they was violated? I think that would be a useful approach.

1) Hmm, Jen wants me to figure out what to do with my life within two years.

2) In two years, Ike will be five years old.

3) Every Evil Overlord must run their plans by a five year old child for validation.
