New Sins For a New Age
I've just learned that the Vatican has released a list of new sins.
For the most part, I agree with them, although I'm lukewarm about the "genetic engineering" one.

I don't get it. Did they find parts of the bible they'd been ignoring for the longest time, and decide to add it? Did they find new scrolls? Did they get a message from God? Or is this an attempt to not look like they're still stuck in the 12th century?

I believe its written in the not as yet released revised-and-expanded edition of the Bible, with a new forward by God.

Well, that's good. Can He do a bit of editing too, take out the uglier parts the way the Victorians edited Dorian Gray to take out the homoeroticism? I could sure do with throwing all of Leviticus and Deuteronomy out of the window, thank you. And a new edition to Song of Songs, where they fix that mistranslation (The King James version mistranslated "vagina" to be "bellybutton" which I never understood) I'd bring it up with the big guy myself...

I never minded the sex scenes, they're boring, but the woman gets all the best lines for once! That never happens in the bible!
