Cloe was your typical little girl growing up, living with her mother and father in a nice little house in Sector 4. She was an only child and was very happy to have the complete love and affection of her parents to herself. Her father usually worked late nights, and her mother was a secondary school teacher. Cloe went to a public primary school where she was a quiet little girl with a small close knit group of friends. She was always a bundle of emotions, and when she found out about the virus, she was greatly distressed. Always the humanitarian, she worried about the plight of others, but most of all about her very own parents. Her mother tried to comfort her and tell her it would be alright, that the doctors were working as hard as they could to save everyone, and often told her not to worry so much. Sadly, Cloe's father was one of the first to die, and her mother soon quit her job to spend more time with Cloe and grieve. Soon depression took over, and Cloe's mother got very sick. No longer able to care for her daughter mentally or physically, she sent Cloe to live with her aunt. The day before Cloe was to leave, both her mother and her Aunt died of complications from the virus. Complete devastated, Cloe took to the streets, wandering alone. It wasn't long before Leading them to her friends, they ran into Cloe made a friend in a small calf she found one day when it peered down the opening to the entrance to the sewers that ran under the Mall. She finally caught up with it, naming it Bluebell and keeping it hostage in the carpark, walking it from time to time. She kept that secret long enough until the calf, distressed from being tied up for too long, made enough racket to alert the other Mall Rats. Cloe's other friend was Patsy, quickly becoming best friends, playing together with Paul and Bob the dog and the toys left over after all of the looting. They'd often confide in each other, going to each other when they needed comforting, especially after Paul disappeared and Patsy was distraught. When the Mall Rats found out about Bluebell the calf, Cloe convinced them not to kill her, instead pleading that they could get milk from her. The idea is good, until Bray points out that without a bull they will never have milk. Lex declares steak for dinner and he and Ryan and Jack head out to kill her. They couldn't, however, so Lex sent them away, then set the calf free, telling the others that the Loco's had gotten it. Cloe, upset, ran off and miraculously found the calf, leading her away from the Mall. Cloe led Bluebell deep into the woods, telling her to stay and not to follow, but, being a cow, Bluebell takes off and Cloe loses her, getting lost in the process of trying to find her again. Cold, wet, and frightened, Cloe spends a night alone in the woods. Now being chased by the Loco's who are looking for the missing Zoot, Cloe ran, tripped, fell, and sprained her ankle. With the Loco's almost on top of her, Ryan and Salene together cared for Patsy and Cloe, becoming their pseudo parents, protecting them through all kinds of mishaps and adventures. Cloe and Patsy even played matchmakers whenever Salene and Ryan would fight, helping Ryan to woo Salene again. Together with Brady and then Trudy are kidnapped by the Chosen, both returning to the Mall after having been held prisoner for a while, and Trudy soon takes a shine to Patsy, leaving Cloe feeling quite left out. Once when Patsy had run away, after Brady was kidnapped, Cloe explained living without her as "having a piece missing", so this small rift between them as Patsy became Trudy's new favorite caused a lot of upset inside of Cloe. When Trudy declared that Patsy didn't have to work but Cloe did, then began to dote on Patsy, petting her hair, Cloe found it very strange. Talking to Dal, Cloe pointed out, "She's not like she was...it's like she's another person...it's hard to explain but there's something wrong - you have to believe me; something's wrong with Trudy!" Dal told her to be patient, Trudy was recovering and needed looking after. Trudy often talked down to Cloe, with a mean and angry menacing voice, while she changed and talked to Patsy in a sweet, caring tone. These sorts of things caused a bigger rift between Cloe and Patsy, they did not see eye to eye on Trudy's philosophy and often were found fighting over the way she behaved and how she treated Patsy like a child. In an effort to take her mind off of the continuing fight with Patsy, Cloe joined with KC on his rat race plans, sharing a rat they affectionately named "Lex" with him. When she learned that KC intended to starve it so it would become focused on winning, she told him she disapproved, calling it cruelty; telling him she intended to go and feed it. When KC wouldn't allow it, saying he would hide it from her. Cloe, now disgusted with KC's plans of cruelty, changes her mind, parts company with KC and decides to train another rat to race against his. However, the race came upon her quickly and she still hadn't gotten a Rat. Ryan tried to find her one in the sewers but came up empty handed. Suggesting they go to the farm to look for a rat, and Cloe smiled, happy to have Salene and Ryan, at least for now. As they waited, Cloe told Salene her fears, she had no one left and what if something happened to Salene and Ryan and she didn't have them anymore? She considered herself to be completely alone. Ryan arrived and asked her what the tears were for, then presented her with her own rat, just in time to rush back to the Mall for the race. KC rigged the race, giving the other rats water bottles with sleeping pills crushed and mixed into the liquid. Cloe showed up just in time with her rat, trying to enter the race when all of the slots were filled, only, KC's rat, "Lex", had been stolen! Later, Cloe is still suspicious of Trudy, and even began to explain things to Salene who simply made excuses for Trudy because she'd been through hard times, she was surely still a good person. Cloe later made an attempt to talk to Patsy again, to try and mend the fence, but Patsy won't listen, insisting instead that Cloe is wrong about the Chosen and that she doesn't miss her at all. Later, in a rare moment, Cloe and Patsy have a talk, and Cloe asked Patsy if she didn't think Trudy was weird. Patsy told her she was the strange one around here. After the wedding, Patsy and Cloe get slowly closer, and after Trudy left a distressed Patsy in charge of Brady, Cloe ended up changing her diaper. Only, "she" was a "he" instead, and suddenly the pieces fell together. Insisting that Patsy explain what was going on, reminding Patsy how they'd always stood by each other. Their bond was restored with a hug, and soon enough Cloe had learned everything about the Chosen and Trudy. No one would believe her when she tried to tell them, however, until hoards of Chosen arrived holding up their flaming Z's. Patsy ran away with Cloe only to return too late to warn anyone about the Chosen, as they showed up shortly at the Mall to take over. Standing by Patsy even when everyone else was upset with her, Cloe was also glad that people finally apologized for not believing her about Trudy. Cloe didn't last long under the rule of the Chosen, becoming a spy for the Mall Rats after entering as a novice in the Chosen. After getting caught, Cloe was sent to the Chosen mines where she stayed until the Chosen fell, escaping and heading back to the Mall. She ran into Jack on the way back, and he saved her from two louts who were attacking her. Cloe explained her time in the mines, how she expected to be wasted at any time until one morning, the guards seemed to just be in a complete panic. The next thing she knew, they had all left the mines. She alone out of anyone there had wanted to return to the City and she started walking. Jack explained to her how he had already been back to the Mall, leaving because Jack walked Cloe to the edge of the City, hugging her goodbye before watching her make her own way back to the Mall. Only, Cloe had other ideas and she refuses to take NO for an answer! After a dozen steps she stopped and turned back around to face him, walking back and demanding that he come back to the Mall with her as he was being highly pathetic as he hadn't even gone all the way with her, how can it be worth turning himself into an old tramp? After much negotiation, Jack telling Cloe he didn't want to see them and Cloe telling Jack she didn't want to go on her own, telling him she wasn't safe like him as she wasn't a guy, convincing him to walk her at least to the front gate of the Mall. He comes true to his word and KC finds Cloe to be quite grown up when she arrives, leading her back into the Mall and completely ignoring Jack, whom Amber persuades to come into the Mall. Cloe was sad to find that not only was Patsy gone, but so were Salene and Ryan. She settled back into life in the Mall, making amends with everyone as things had changed quite a bit around the Mall. Her homecoming was short lived, almost as soon as she'd returned, the Techno's arrived, invading the city and taking most of the Mall Rats hostage. Cloe hid under the bed Trudy had used as Supreme Mother, (later what would become Salene's bed), and was spared from being taken prisoner by yet another group. Salene soon returns and there is a small reunion, though she is saddened that she didn't find Ryan on her search. The Technos now had control and held the city in fear. One Techno, During this time, Cloe had a major personality change, she was no longer the sweet little girl everyone loved, but now the drama queen teenager who gave everyone attitude, including her 'mother', Salene. When CityNet advertised The Game, Cloe volunteered to be scanned on CityNet, by Ved, to show that it was painless. When Cloe awoke from the Techno scanning, she found herself in the mines again, only this time she was under the rule of the Techno's. Asking the guards why she was there did her no good, and eventually she found out that she'd been sent away as she had been making Ved too soft, distracting him, only, Ram had decided to spare her life for some unknown reason. When the Techno's fell, and the mines in turn fell, Cloe made her way home to the Mall once more. Arriving, Cloe was clearly upset, but quickly settled back into life in the Mall, once more. Taking her time one afternoon, Cloe leaned against the railing on the second floor, which had become unknowingly loose, and she fell. Fearing that the same fate had befallen her as Zoot, Salene tried to keep her cool as she strapped her to a backboard and took her to the hospital, thankful that she'd learned some things from When Salene, Bray, Returning to the Mall, Cloe settled back into life there, including her relationship with the recently returned Ved. Always the animal lover, Cloe also found a new pet, Daisy the kitten. She's enjoyed her time in the Mall recently, but she's also currently been struggling with a secret going back to her time in the Mines under Chosen rule. Cloe has started to come to terms with the horrifying memory of being violated by a Techno. She's tried to tell Ved, but has only been able to tell Patsy and Amber so far. She's pretty much bottled it down for now, though she's really in need of spending time with Salene and getting the understanding she used to get from her Pseudo Mother. She and Patsy worked very hard to bring Ryan and Salene back together, and she is quite happy with the fact that they are back together again. Her whole family is here now, it almost feels like nothing can tear them apart again...almost. | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
