As Cloe walked through the back streets of the city with May, Patsy, and Gel, the wheels in her mind begin turning.

I can't believe I'm doing this! This is crazy. We'll probably end up being killed and Ved will never know that I'm sorry. But, maybe he'll apoligize once he finds out how much he loves me. What am I thinking? He's Ved. He'll want me only when he wants me. But why did it take him so long to come back to the Mall? Maybe he didn't miss me at all.
