I'm not going to see HBP until Friday morning, but on the H/G fronts I am quite spoiled. After reading conformation on all the things I had previously deducted/heard from jacedesbff, I decided to make this short post.

Definitely spoilers for the book, unfortunately not for the movie.

Taking a short break from out of my exile to make a few short comments about last nights Supernatural - "When the Levee Breaks". I'm going to try my hand at making some short, seemingly out of the blue posts when I can since I never have the time to post like I really want to anymore. So here goes.

( Not particularly spoilery - a bit of babbling and a technical quip )

A very happy belated birthday shout out to the 4/22 shared bdays on my flist emmahyphenjane and babyofthegroup. If only I could switch ages with one of you I'd be all set! Enjoy and have a blessed year.

I also want to thank all of my fantastic friends who wished me well yesterday, both in messages here and in their own journals as well. It really means alot especially with me being so uber-absent lately. For that I apologize, but work and our unreliable internet lately have really been keeping me at bay. We have been out competely until yesterday and we are using a wireless card on only my bosses PC until the end of this week at least - so that is where I am making this post from now.

Anyway, I hope to be back in the swing of things soon and bless you all for all of you thoughtful birthday greetings. Even though I really wish I wasn't having them anymore AT ALL - it still feels good to be remembered.

*hugs* all around and here's hoping I'm able to be around more very soon.

I am officially on hiatus starting today. This morning I have started training my replacement here (see details in previous post if you missed it) and here at lunch time is the only time I am alone in the office to even check my email. In the coming weeks I might be able to check my flist from time to time but I'm not really counting on it.

I'll be back as soon as I'm in the new offices and get everything off the ground (Probably around the 2nd week of February). Until then enjoy all of out good and new TV just as I will be doing also. Thank God I at least have that right now because without LJ I might just go biserk.

Over New Years I made ship and character art for my profile and finally put them up today. So go to my profile and check them out if your interested. I'm particularly happy with how the ship art turned out. It was time for a little touch of change and since I generally suck at actually following threw with making my visuals or posts actually reflect my current interests I'm very pleased that I finally got this done.

Why does iTunes have to suck so loud?

To get to the crux of this question we have to travel back just a bit:

Back in November I picked out 2 MP3 players and put them on Megan's Amazon Wishlist. The shiny new 8GB Ipod 4th Generation Nano in a gorgeous purple and the more economical but almost equally as nice Sony 4GB Walkman Video/MP3 player in a pretty pink. Megan wanted that iPod, but I gave the grandparents options and she would be cool either way. So she got the Walkman, and it's great. Honestly it is fantastic. Even better than it being more in the price range of what I think she needs at this age - it also is very Cindy friendly. Which is of course uber-important.

You plug it into your computer. It loads itself. You drag and drop songs, albums, pictures, videos - heck, whatever you want without any other needed software into the the pre-layed out folders in the MP3 player. Then when you turn the thing on, you go into 'Music' and there are your albums and songs all in the nice little packages you dropped them in. Neat. Then you go into 'Pictures' and see your sub-albums you already created there with all your pictures neatly arranged just like they were on your computer. Same thing with the videos too. Sounds awesome doesn't it?

If you are just having your first experience with an iPod or iTunes I bet you really think that sounds super swell. How do I know? Well, Megan's first cousin Summer (on my ex's side - her and Megan are 4 months apart and best friends) got the exact iPod Nano Megan wanted for Christmas. So they call me Sunday from the grandparents house and ask me if I could load some songs onto Summer's iPod she got for Christmas because her mom couldn't figure it out. No sweat. I'm super-duper computer girl don't you know? Plus I'm awesome at life. So I say "Absolutely! It will be a snap just like Megan's!"

( I was so very naive. And wrong. So very, very wrong. )

But looking at my huge Five Di-i-i-ick Casablancas, really how could I not?

I want to take this moment to wish everyone on my flist as happy of a Christmas as possible (I'm a big ole Grinch, can't you tell - with the economy and seeing as how my hubby and I both work for a GM dealership - well, Christmas is more than light this year for me and mine) and a very joyous New Year. It really has flown by hasn't it?

I was off last Friday and we are closed 24th & 25th, so I'm busy as a set of blinking lights - but since I'm posting the humorous anyway I wanted to take this chance to send my best wishes out to my fantastic flist. You carry me threw my days here at work. Well, that and B/J fanfic, but that's another matter entirely.

New layout folks. I did like the one I have been using for the past few months, but it was a bit busy for the long term. I kinda knew that it's days were numbered going in, but I thought I could at least hold out until autumn was over at least. So I found a cute layout in my perferred layout colors by minty_peach and I'm giving it a whirl.

Many longtime friends might notice that the colors are very close to my favorite layout that I used for almost 2 years (or more) by the multitalented emmahyphenjane (and ALMOST went back to just using that one) - but I can't help it. In my old(er) years I tend to like what is familiar. *shivers*

Anyway - come check it out. ;)

Yeah, that was my 10 year old's reaction to our little gift at the end of Supernatural last night. After we picked ourselves off the floor and rewound the tape about 3 times. Then she was stunned to hear that that song came out when I was her age. Of course then it wasn't nearly as cool - at least to her. For me and most (if not just about all) of you it just made it So. Much. Sweeter. That is if you can begin to improve on that performance for even a second. I'm not sure it's possible.

Oh Jensen! Oh SHOW! *hugs to bosom*

I won't go into spoilers since I know of at least one person *cough* houses7177 *cough* who hasn't seen the episode yet. But this year is just - well, beyond words.

I need to do a big TV post. Badly.

I feel like a slacker not making TV posts like I used to but I just got out of the habit. I really do want to talk about Supernatural and Friday Night Lights and basically everything else that I'm watching but I just can't get into the groove.

He has fractured his shoulder and is under observation to assess any possible further injuries. Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery. No one else was injured in the accident."

USC Medical Center spokeswoman Adelaida De La Cerda said Harold was awaiting further tests.

Publicist Nancy Seltzer said Wednesday that Harold fractured his shoulder, and "Housewives" creator and executive producer Marc Cherry said he apparently has swelling on the brain but was expected to recover.

Harold plays Jackson, the boyfriend of Terri Hatcher's character, who plays a pivotal role in the fifth season's eighth episode.

Cherry said Harold was scheduled to be on set before the Tuesday accident, which was first reported by TMZ. Selzer said no one else was injured.

Does this mean that he survives the fire for sure now. I mean, we have seen pictures already from that episode so this would be the episode following that right?

Brain swelling is one of the things I was afraid of when I heard the whole "neurosurgical ICU" business. Now I'm slightly worried again. *tries to hold the drama down* We just need to pray and keep telling ourselves that he is going to be OK.

This is just beyond words type of terrible.

Desperate Housewives star Gale Harold was seriously injured yesterday in a motorcycle accident, reports TMZ. (On the hit ABC show, Gale plays Jackson on Wisteria Lane–the boyfriend of Susan, played by Teri Hatcher.)
The 39-year-old former Queer as Folk star was taken to the Intensive Care Unit at L.A. County - USC Medical Center. His condition has not yet been released.

I will be praying that he is alright. I can't even fathom this being bad. I just can't! Not BRIAN! I can't handle this. I know that is irrational and selfish - but seriously, I'm just not processing it. I am just beyond upset right now.

Scary news: Hospital sources confirm that actor Gale Harold is in the neurosurgical intensive care unit at County-USC Medical Center, reportedly in "stable condition."

According to TMZ, Harold was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident. I'm told we can expect an official statement from his reps around noon Pacific time.


Neurosurgical is a head or spinal injury. 3 hours to wait. This is just - NO!!!
