Well, it's getting cold here.. again.. just in time for me to spend the weekend out in the field. I'll be gone from today till Sunday playing soldier at Fort Carson. xD

Oh, oh. A guy in my old Psych class gave me a copy of 1 Litre of Tears. You guys seen it? OMG. Saddest J-drama e-v-e-r. ; ; I musta used up an entire Kleenex box watching the damn thing. x.x He also gave me Stairway to Heaven, though it's aggravating and kinda cheesy~ :3 Gotta admit I'm hooked on J-/K-dramas now, haha. I'm such a dork.

Soo.. have a great weekend, ja. >u

So.. yeah. Oliver and I went shooting yesterday at this semi-unsanctioned outdoor range halfway up the Rockies (gorgeous.). We forgot our earplugs and ended up stuffing rolled-up medical tape in our ears. xD Muaha. My highlight was unloading about 100 .45 rounds at a tin can trying to improve my aim.. I still have to get comfortable with a firearm of that caliber.. ^^;

Because I was in a hurry to get registered for classes at the local college we only spent two hours out there.. and brought down just four firearms and a fraction of the ammo we usually use. I would've liked more practice with Oliver's new .30-06 but my left shoulder was starting to feel pretty bruised already. ><;; I never even got to shoot the Mini-14, the damn thing kept catching..!!

Grrr. All my stress over the past week or so managed to unload itself in a crapload of lead. I recommend target shooting to anyone. ..Given you're mentally stable and not likely to shoot the guy standing next to you. o.o;;

Um. Y'all have a nice day now. =)

Today was retarded, we went to Wal-Mart twice (aren't we the coolest? xD) because Oliver wanted to buy a .30-06 Remington. (I hate those things, they give me the nastiest bruises. o.o) He's probably getting it tomorrow. *sigh* =_=;;

So my cat decides to make a litterbox out of one of our old sofa chairs (one we got for free, anyway) and a piece of carpet on separate occasions. Of course all she has to do is meow innocently and we completely forgive her. <3 ^^ She's the kind of cat who'll wait for you outside whatever door you go into, then get mad when you come out and stumble over her. xD

Paid too much for a haircut today ($46.00?!? isn't that robbery?) but the stylist did a better job than anyone else I've been to. (Then again, I'm only at a salon like.. twice a year.)

XD~~ The new tablet came yesterday and I was sooo excited. ^w^ I couldn't wait to use it and it was so much fun. =D *art geek*

I fixed up my so-called work room into a little makeshift studio, (haha.. or something) clearing out all the boxes and other junk from moving.

Looking to the west you can see the Rockies, which are pretty awe-inspiring. =3

And we got a cat on the 18th.. she's a Maine coon, which is synonymous with walking furball. <3 We got her at Petsmart, so she had already had her shots and everything. Poor girl apparently was abandoned and recently had a litter of kittens and she's still quite round about the middle. ^^

ugh, how frustrating. someone's offered me photoshop 6, and i don't mind that at all. i'm pretty thankful. it's just that i've gotten so used to cs!

Been working on a new character design.. of course! The stereotypical anime woman. =\ Eh. Normally I like to mix two archetypes together and see what I come up with. Here, pirate + gypsy. Sort of. Her name is Odeske, pronounced oh-desk-ah. Like German. o.o Yah.

I suppose I'll turn this into an art blog of sorts.. I don't really like the idea of having both a xanga and LJ but oh well. =\

I opened a new deviantart account today, chiiku @ dA. Everyone that's ever known me as chiiku might know why. >P I'll start uploading stuff some time today.. I still have to work on an ID, I suppose.

..I guess I'm not going to bother customizing my LJ too much right now.. still trying to get the hang of it!
