| intro // Jordi Labanda |
[08-24-08 at 12am] |
Hello, I've just joined this community. I'm a twenty-something girl. When I find free time off work, I love to picture the concerts I'm goin to. Also, I tend to express the fangirl in me with drawing my fave rockers&punkers. But I'm also enjoying nude painting & fashion illustration.
( se pictures )
As for the last, I've always enjoyed the artwork of Jordi Labanda. He's able to draw such diverse characters, whether it's the skinny supermodel from Sweden, toned boys from Argentina or dapper Hanseatic gentlemen. Everything he draws is done with style and a talent for details like exquisite tailoring, complicated coiffures or ornate accessoires.

So, which illustrators of fashion & style do you favor? And most importantly, could u recommend some books to place on a b-day whishlist?

Katsushika Hokusai, the legendary Japanese painter, created a series of pieces based on his country's demons and folklore.
These pieces were created in 1811, and collected within a larger series of works entitled the Hokusai Manga.
Below are some samples of Hokusai's lesser known works found on Flickr that I thought you would enjoy.

The Warm Inventions - Suzanne | Scrobbled by Last.fm |
] |
Hello everyone. I am interested in sewing a Victorian dress, but I haven't had the luck of finding any tutorials or sewing patterns. I am not interested in making an extravagant dress, just something plain. I have a collection of images saved from this community, and I found a photograph of a dress that I would like to make.
If anyone can offer some advice or anything, that would be very helpful. Thank you.

| Skins Style |
[08-26-08 at 8am] |
I've just finished watching Series 2 of Skins.
If you watch this series, which characters do you relate to style-wise...and do you try to emulate their style in any way?
I enjoy the way Cassie mixes vintage style with more modern pieces; in particular her dresses, jewellery and blazers.
Please post pictures of your favourite outfits from the show or your interpretation of Skins style.

| AOD BODY FOR SALE |
[08-25-08 at 11pm] |
I have bought an AOD 1/3 girl body for my baroque wig 2 months ago, I wanted to buy a matching head soon, but now I am crossing my plans of having a new 1/3 Ball Joint Doll the next times.
If anyone at my friendslist is interested in a "white skin" 1/3 girl body, new never used in its original box&blanket please let me know !!! I can make photos of it tomorrow, but here are some pre-views of AOD I am going to post it in some different doll communities if no one will be found here. It would be great to find someone in Europe, because you won`t have to pay custom fees ( like me:( ) then.
