i never have time to write in livejournal cause i'm constantly doing other things. to update from the last entry...

-the roomie reunion was just me, becca, and kristen, and it was a good time, and brittany came down to rhody last weekend which was tons of fun
-i love working at the paper, im writing for both the cranston herald and the johnston sunrise, and the beacon when they need more people on staff. ever since i started i've had at least one front page story in each edition of the herald and sunrise except for this week in the sunrise where i had no articles.
-the next few stories im covering will be about the fireworks this week and going behind the scenes with pyrotechnics, taste testing ice cream from all over cransotn/johnston/warwick (avoiding the chains like ben and jerrys and coldstone, going for more of the sundaes feel), the harry potter book launch, and the 2 other cranstons in the nation. they're both so tiny that only mapquest shows them... not weather.com or the us census or antyhing.
-i've been hitting up the beach alot
-gap is still going good
-my wisdom teeth heeled great.
-im looking forward to the beach house in august
-the summer is flying byyyy.
-back to northeastern on august 30th
-i'm already thinking of potential co ops for january, i want to work in either rhode island or the boston area but if really good opportunities were to come up in new york city or washington dc or a real big city with a good paper/magazine i'd definately consider it.

i haven't written in forever, sorry. i'm home for summer, i've actually been home since finals ended a week ago. im back at the gap and even got a raise there. i'm getting my wisdom teeth out on tuesday and starting at the cranston herald when i'm recovered. i miss northeastern a lot and everyone from school. the first weekend in june brittany is coming down and we're driving to fairfield county-ish area to visit becca and meeting up with kristen there cause it's becca's sister's graduation party so all us roomies are gonna chill for the weekend. i already requested the days off from the gap to go so i'm excited cause i miss them all already. i really hope kristen doesn't transfer to st. a's.. i want her to stay at NU. i played tennis and basketball with pat and it showed im out of shape sooo looks like im gonna try using some of my mom's exercise dvds soon lol. i rolled my ankle playing basketball and it hurt for like.. 10 minutes and then i was fine. i'm so excited it'll get warm soon... but NOT excited to get my two wisdom teeth out.. thank god i was only born with two!

stressful next week... tuesday im having a math midterm, which i must do good on, wednesday both my hist of journalism and international relations midterms, both will be very hard, and my easiest midterm is on friday, journalism 101. then it is spring break, i will be in cranston friday/saturday-sunday, then florida monday-thursday, then cranston friday-saturday/sunday. this is good, because it means less time hanging out at my house waiting to see if there are plans for the night and ultimately either staying in for the night or going shopping, and more time not being spent at home this upcoming vacation. bring on fort myers, sox are gonna kill it at spring training.

in addition, on monday i have not one but 2 broomball games, at 10 and 11pm, along with a review sesh for math from 430-630 and another for IR from 730-9, after classes 130-430. wednesday is also the last hockey game of the season except for hockey east quarterfinals, and it's a big game at home being shown on tv against BU. there's also another this weekend being shown on ESPNU against umass at home that i'm going to. it'll just be crazy and florida is SO CLOSE.

so ive been back at school for nearly 2 weeks, celebrated my 20th birthday this past weekend, and im having fun and all that, i'm already looking forward to spring break. i'm changing my major to journalism with a minor in poli sci and maybeeeee another minor that is TBD at a later date. but after my intl relations class this semester im done for my poli sci minor which is amazingly great. i'm taking 2 journalism classes right now and i love it. im joining the NU news as well as the photogrpahy team for NU news hopefully. the new dorm is amazing and i get along great with my roommates. pat and i discovered a thai/viatnamese food place near the Y that accepts dining dollars which i love, and it was my first time eating pad thai and i liked it. my classes are tough but im trying to get thru it. i haven't stuck to any of the new years resolutions that i made.

so i've got mono, which i just found out because beth israel sucks and gives me all my blood test info 2 weeks after i first got sick. so i technically have had it since october 2nd.. and i should be better in 1-2 more weeks. thank god. this weekend is parents weekend, the next weekend i have the bruins game, and things are going good, except that i can't make up my mind.

i must have started to write a journal entry a bunch of times since i last wrote, but then i re-read everything i wrote and decide it's too personal to post. i guess today isn't an exception.

it's been awhile again. to make a long story short, it was sad without socks in the house. last weekend we found 2 kittens, two sisters, that we really liked. this weekend, we finally got to adopt them and take them home.

they've been staying in my bathroom and are quite shy. 8 weeks old. bailey is more playful and eats more food and we think the other cat was the runt of the 5 kitty litter, but that's ok because that's what socks was and he ended up being fine. i still miss socks an awful lot, but having the two kittens around definately liven up the house and his absense is a little less noticable. but.. i still miss him and that's what hurts. i'll stop on that subject before i start crying.

school is insane. my schoolwork is ridic but that's what i get for taking 3 poli sci classes (with 2 sessions because they're big classes) and a law class = all 4 (6) classes mean tons of reading and ish to do. i've fallen behind because of socks and my lack of focusing but what can you do.

friday night was really fun until i got sick from drinking too much (not much to most of you, but too much for me with only 2 slices of pizza in my stomach) and then being mad in the morning. but i'm not mad anymore i guess? whatev. but met a lot of new people friday night who were pretty cooool.

i should be in boston until columbus day weekend, but i may stay longer. i miss the kittens already! the other kitty needs a name though. hmmm...

i'm going home in a few to see how the house is like without socks around. and to see the place where my dad has buried him in our backyard near his favorite rock he always slept on. and to order a little "plaque/tombstone" for it. my parents want to get another pet immediately and i want another cat just because i'm a cat person. i'll definately adopt again from the animal shelter. i don't want to forget socks but i don't want the house to always be empty either. whichever cat we adopt will also have to be an indoor cat... just because i don't want to go thru this again.

I know I haven't written in awhile but there's finally something of purpose to write here.

rest in peace socks, you were the best cat ever. i don't know anyone who didn't like you. unfortunately i found out today that he was hit by a car. he was 10 years old and anyone who knows me knew that i loved socks. i'm a wreck right now and i miss him, because i never got to say goodbye and the way he died shouldn't have happened.

i changed my last day at work to september 1st. bad move, because i got scheduled sun-thurs. i've already been calling people and trying to get some of the days off and so far i've gotten sunday off.. i'd love to get wednesday or thursday off, whcihever one that i'm working during the day preferably.. arg. today i have to go to the asthma doctor which sucks because last time i went they triggered the asthma on purpose to see how i was and i was hurtin for the rest of the day. then foxwoods later on tonight. 9 days left til move in day.

i came home last night to do a lot of laundry and just chill at home since my mom had friends over and the weather wasn't that nice down at the house. i'm gonna go back down after i finish this.

i'm in a fairly good mood. i'll be living in the ymca, along with pat the floor below me, come september. i had a long chat online with my roommate and i think we'll get along fine. her name is jess and she's from a small town outside brockton. she's really nice and we're alot alike. we're both only children and love the sox and into the same type of tv shows. she's transferring in from umass and is a nursing major.

besides all that, the beach house has been nice and i went to newport one day and the beach with alli another day, and pat's been by a few nights, and gina's coming down later today along with my relatives.

so i move in september 3rd and i told gap my last day this summer would be august 28th. so let's hang out before we leave, ok?

soooooo, i still don't know where i'm living in the fall. very frustrating as i was supposed to know august 1st. ugh.

starting tomorrow after 5pm i will be headed down to the beach house and i don't plan on coming back up to cranston until the 12th, when the week ends, unless something else happens. not much happened this week. my cell phone finally went on it's last battery bar (RIP wicked awesome cell phone 2004-2006) and i bought sprint/sanyo's version of the razr, just because it was the best looking phone out of the other ones that were out and not priced ridiculously high.

tomorrowwww i have a bunch of errands to run by 1pm, whcih is when i'm workin til 5. the beach house is down near point judith, down the road b/t aunt carries and iggys, and not gonna be any parties since i'm gonna be with my mom. my dad's gonna be up in cranston working on the house and stuff.

ABSOLUTELY EXHAUSTEDDDDD. anyway call my cell because i don't have internet service.. 952*9428 the number hasn't changed although the phone has. especially if you're down in gansett and want to go to the beach or anything. ok thanks. PEACE!

oh geez. too much has been going on and i've neglected writing soo let's see how much i can remember.

-my car died down in narragansett after staying down at pat's beach house for a night so i missed work later that night because by the time it got jumped and i got home to switch cars my neon died.
-finally got to experience cliffwalk with pat, which was nice.
-i've been working my ass off and with the payoff from working at cambridgeside galleria that night, and then promptly spent that on a leather bag at gap i've been looking at for awhile, totally worth it
-went to wrentham with pat the other day because my boston trip fell through
-went back to wrentham the next day to buy the shoes pat had convenced me not to get the previous day
-attended the st. mary's feast fireworks and in turn breathed in a lot of toxic fireworks fumes and ruined my flip flops by walking through the muddy field

but just today, all of this happened:
-went to the beach with alli, like usual
-going back to the car in the field got attacked by thousands of mosquitos that also got into the car, boo
-went to bk after, and got into my first car accident! the car behind me in the drive thru line hit the car i was driving.. which happened to be the jaguar :O but there was no dents or scratches soo me and alli let him go unscathed.
-i call it my first car accident because, while ive been driving, i've never hit or been hit. it's always been with my parents driving.
-so i'm still a virgin to causing a car crash. hah.

still left to do this summer:
-bingo again
-the zoo
-my week down at the beach house
-big shopping trip before school (seperate trips are ok too)
-work more
-six flags again to pay off my season pass
-red sox game with chris

so this is how this week will go:
-nick's party tomorrow afternoon and watchin the game obviously at night
-working monday-thursday
-hair appt (to layer again or not to layer until next month?) and re-dye on thursday night
-dentist friday :(
-friends&family beginning thursday at the gap -- GET THE INVITES FROM ME!
-moving down to the beach house on saturdayyyy :)

yesyesyes. only a few more days til i find out where i'm living at northeastern & when i move in. and then it's a few weeks from then until i actually do that up. pat just called, so i'll end this here.

so i haven't written in awhile... in the time that has passed i attended orientation at northeastern and met some cool people and it was a good time. although waking up way too early for it really sucked. pat drove up with my mom and i and he seemed to have a good time at the school too. i just wanna know where i'll be living for next year. i've been working a lot too. yesterday i drove up to boston with holly and adam and our district manager for the state up to the gap in cambridgeside galleria because, long story short, they needed help with the store big time. about 40 employees from gaps around the area came to help out. we pretty much had to tear apart the entire store and redo everything and it was a big store, one that had baby, adult, body, and kids.. like many stores do. it was hard work because the air conditioning in the store was busted, but the store provided us with food and i'm getting paid from when we left (4pm) to when we got home (2am) and it's half time except for after 11 which is double time. i suppose it was worth it for the money but the drive to boston and back was tiring. and i had to work this morning and i was absolutely exhausted and still am. i went to the beach with alli the other day. i visited pat down at his beach house. i haven't done that much shopping.. which is a good thing. my mom went down to jersey twice. my room still isn't clean. pat came over tonight and we watched the sox and i love mirabelli fo sho. loRETTA.

i think that's all what's happened lately. this week i'm workin tomorrow and wednesday and then saturday, clerks II on friday night and hopefully beach during the day on saturday woo, this heat is absolutely ridic. but it's freezing cold in my house and where i work sooo i shoudn't complain. and i'm thinking about stopping this journal come september.. but just thinking about it. we'll see what happens. time for sleep. maybe i'll end my shopping drought tomorrow.

oh, and if anyone wants a friends and family coupon to shop the first weekend (including the wednesday and thursday and friday too) of august... 30% off everything, to use at the gap, let me know. i've got a bunch.

i have entered my pin number to my debit card far too much into the gap cashwrap system.. my paycheck i received today does not cover what i spent from a period of 2 weeks. ohhh man. either way, i worked everyday this week, and everyday except thursday last week, and tomorrow is a double shift from 2-10. 8 hour work day, yippee! my great uncle has gone through some pre-surgery and surgery stuff and starts chemotherapy on monday for mouth cancer for an intense 6 weeks. my mom and my grandmother are very close to him since he is their uncle and brother, respectfully. it's a hard situation. sunday i may go down to pat's beach house. i'm working everyday next week except for wednesday (my day off) and thursday (northeastern orientation). i'm going down tuesday to watch the all star game. pat's staying over wednesday night and going to his soccer game and then waking up early thursday. this summer is really flying by.

and lisa, pat told me how you wanted to go to the zoo. can we make this happen? because i've been talking about going to the zoo since march.

uhh so much for having thursday and friday off... working 9:45-2 tomorrow and 1-6 friday... and that lovely 2-10 double shift on saturday.. but on my hour break i'm grabbing food with ashley! that's really all to say, i'm gonna watch the france/portugal match and hope that france wins.

well, that's not really all to say, just that's all what's appropriate to say.

one of the best weekends of the summer thus far. friday night the gap outing failed to come to fluition/frution, whatever that word is, so i went with pat down to derek's beach house where we hung out with the crew, minus christina but added marissa, who is really nice. bill brought a pineapple for pretty much no reason but once cut in half and cut out the beer was poured into that and dranken from there, and it was very good. we slept there and woke up really early, haha and then began cleaning up the house which took about an hour and we also pretty much clorox bleached the entire kitchen floor, which smelled very bleachy when we left. pat and i got dunkin and then went to the beach for a few hours, i had to leave early cause i had work and pat wanted to watch the soccer game. after work which flew by i fell asleep early to compensate for my 4 hours of sleep the night before. today i got to sleep late and then went shopping for tvs with pat. we bought the same tv which was on sale at circuit city woohoo. then we went back to his house and then i had to work. and we also found it very difficult to fit 2 15in flat screen tvs into the z3 with us in the car as well. so now im home from work, which flew by because most of the time i was in the back room doing replenishments, and i ate dinner and napped and now im watching the mets game, and working hard to clean my room because im honestly embarrassed about how dirty and messy it is. argg.

some stuff i forgot to mention lately:

-losing like $25 in the casino on gina's birthday
-along with getting stuck in blocked-off traffic at the very top of the newport bridge which will most likely never happen again
-hot tubbing at christina's with bill and pat last night was very fun
-along with the blender beginning to spark, plastic in the frozen strawberries, stuff exploding in the microwave, and the dog eating all the bagel bites
-not to mention getting lost trying to get there
-going out with some cool gap people friday night
-time for work
