It will take the entire day to make it's way leisurely across the blue sky, gradually changing shape as it does so. At turns it will resemble a skull with a cigar, a volkswagon bug with a flat tire, North and South America coming apart at the Panama Canal, Yin and Yang coming together to a slow waltz, the eye of God, a frightened ghost, an uncoiling snake with visible hiss, Pete the Cat's missing tail, a giant hand giving the world the finger, a seven tentacled octopus, a woozy palm tree, a whimsical mathematical formula, a '68 Telecaster, a cold bottle of Wowtown Brown Ale, the Hornicator, Meg Ryan's lips, an exploded pumpkin, and finally, just before it sets itself back out of sight behind the northwestern horizon, the vague but reassuring shape of hope for tomorrow.
