Cotton kimono fabric keyword? I used "和調花柄" to search for fabric on y!J and mbok, but didn't get much.  So for those who have looked for this before or know Japanese- what would be good keywords for Japanese COTTON kimono FABRIC? (not yukatas, not full outfits,but the fabric). Palin, Detroit Metal City, rain, the near future [30 Aug 2008|01:22pm] givethesignal A number of things: 1. Sarah Palin, WTF Honestly, I am probably just super biased from the outset, but McCain's pick for VP just seems like a desperate attempt to win over some Hillary Democrats. It seems way, way too late in the game to bring in someone few people have heard of - especially someone with such limited political experience. Obama may only have four years but Palin's got two, and it seems a little imprudent to have someone with two years' experience in the Alaskan government as a back-up president (and McCain's way more likely to kick bucket during his presidency than Obama). Basically, to me this looks like proof that McCain's campaign is way more concerned with winning an election than with the four years that follow. I'm nervous and confused. 2. Go To DMC Japanese movies are so ridiculous. I love them. Last night I saw Detroit Metal City, about a boy who wants to play pop folk music but is forced to front a hardcore black metal band. Unresolved plot lines abounds, but oh my god, so much fun!!! Oh, and Gene Simmons of KISS is in it. 3. It needs to stop raining in Tokyo Seriously, it's been raining every night for like the past week but last night was fury and torrential waters and deafening cracks of thunder. And then it just rained again like an hour ago. And now it's raining again. Seriously, clouds, don't you run out of water at a certain point? 4. Boston soon This week went by surprisingly quickly (considering I did very little) and right now I'm scared that I won't be ready to leave by a week from now... but that sentiment changes practically by the hour.
