It was a frigid day even for New York. Too cold to snow and too cold to go outside for that matter. Even so the kids were outside or in and out of the house trying to stay out as long as possible before running in to sit by the fireplace in the living room. Snake watched them stretched out on the couch in a thick flannel shirt and comfortable, well worn BDUs watching ESPN-NBA. Whomever had decided to make this channel was definitely on his "worth saving from a burning building" list.

His days were good of late. Today was perfect, even with the screaming kids and whatever Xena was doing in the other room. Discovering this channel had been icing on the cake and he wasn't interested in moving for any reason at the moment.

Freezing air rushed in as the door slammed shut behind the kids, scratching and the door opened, more cold air and then barking and a second slam. The sound actually brought more relaxation. Plissken settled in to watch the NBA draft reports. The Knicks game would start soon and he planned on ignoring the world outside of his yard for the rest of the day.
