Wow, haven't updated for quite a while.

Olly is growing so fast. I had to sort out all his newborn clothes from the bigger ones. He's had some lovely clothes from friends and family too which is really nice. His unlce bought him a play gym and mat which keeps him occupied for ages. He didn't know what to do with it at firt but slowly started to co-ordinate his hands with the toys.

The other little boy in the photo is Ollys cousin Josh.

He's also starting to sleep during the night better. :)

Got Oliver registered yesterday. He is now a 'real' person.

His grandma bought him a cuddle robe yesterday so a bath is in order to try it out I think!

He is growing so fast. Already takes up over 1/2 of his moses basket.

Went to Health Visitor to be checked out and weighed. He is now 9lbs 8oz as of Monday. My milk can't be that bad then!

He was really good at Mums funeral and sucked his thumb throughout. I'm trying to stay away from dummies, so far so good. I can't believe how quickly he is growing.

He's having a bit of a grumpy day today but I think I've managed to get him off to sleep at last. We shall see...

New 'boy' clothes from Grandma and Grandpa. They bought him lots and I'll take more pics of the rest when I have a spare minute.

Took Olly to see my Mum today to meet her before she passes away. She said she was very proud of him. I wish she could see him grow up but I'm sure she'll be watching.

Went to Manchester to meet Daddy, Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle Danny, Auntie Lisa and Josh. Then on Monday I took him to meet Auntie Alice.

Baby has arrived

Early Sunday morning I began having contractions which had moved close together by about 2:30am. I went to the hospital and as I was only a couple of centimetres dilated I was put in a hot bath to sooth the pain at about 4am. After a couple of hours the pain was so bad I had to get out, I was checked again and was 5cm dilated. I was taken to the labour room and put on the gas which helped with the pain a little but mainly made me feel dopey. All I can really remember is an overwhelming urge to push which started at about 7am then just under 3hrs later my little baby boy popped out. Literally. It felt like he was travelling at high speed. He was given to me straight away. All i could do was smile like a maniac, and cry my eyes out. The feeling was unbelievable, I can't even begin to explain it.

After his cord was cut he came up to me again and fed for about 45 mins. He was 7lbs 6oz.

He is 5 days old today and the midwife doesn't come now until Sunday for our 1 week check-up. Which means we can go to Manchester to see Vinny.
