6.11.04 became the first day of the rest of my life, the best day of my life. And my days only seem to get better. There is a soldier out there whom is fighting for my freedom in abroad countries. We met in high school, graduated together, and I left for college. He found me, and five months later left for the Army. We lost touch and then found it numerous time, and although it is now long distance, we are able to make it work. He is my biggest fan, my hero, and my soulmate.
I thank God for all my wonderful true friends. They are a blessing to my life.
I am a Christian, and it is the center of my life. I live daily to please my Lord.
After a year at Penn State and a semester break, and several changes in my major later, I have decided to pursue Computer Information Science at Lock Haven University. Penn State would only leave me in debt for the next 50 years, and Lock Haven allows me to live at home and save tons of moolah. I like computers, and am looking forward to learning about what makes them tick. Doesn't sound like your cup of tea? At least I'll be here for all of your computer problems. ;)
My soldier, the love of my life, my best friend, my hero and I
A half a world away there is somebody that loves me, somebody I can call my hero. That somebody is fighting for my freedom. And although we may be thousands of miles apart, he is the one I choose to love. It is people like him that make me shed a tear everytime I hear a patriotic song, because I realize that through the pain of knowing his life is at stake, I am safe and free back home. He is the love of my life, my hero, my soulmate. He is an American Soldier.
Whether or not you support to the war is not up to my convincing. I don't support the war, but that doesn't mean I don't support the troops fighting for what they feel is a worthy cause. Half a world away is a soldier, whether you know him or her or not, who is fighting for your freedom. And many of them losing their life for that cause. Is that not a big enough reason to support them?
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA!
