MAC-up

a trip to target almost always guarantees a stop at the the dollar section. i can never leave this section of the store empty handed. unnecessary junks and trinkets are so dirt cheap i just cant say no. since spring cleaning starts in the beginning of the year for me ive been organizing like crazy. all bills filed for the last year have been shredded, bags of clothes are ready for donation, drawers have been cleaned out but one of my hugest undertaking was organizing all of my make-up! i was happy to find the tin buckets pictured above to store and keep my make-up brushes organized. im starting to feel lighter and a little more sane with all this organizing and cleansing. ;) a good way to start the year!

ive also organized all of my make-up into my two sephora train cases. however, all my make-up exceeds the two boxes. my glosses are in other storage cases and i have the MAC carry all bag thats stuffed to the max with some more make-up. i am doing my best not to purchase a third case because takes up so much valuable space in my room and frankly to have three boxes full of make-up is just plain ridiculous. which leads me to my question....

does anyone have any ideas/tips/recommendations on organizing and consolidating make-up so that it takes up the least amount of containers/make-up boxes and space?

ive had my superstar ceramic flat iron for quite awhile now and i absolutely love it. ive tried using this to curl my hair but much i prefer an actual curling iron to achieve the curls that i want. ive been curling my hair alot recently especially for work using my good 'ol revlon curling iron knowing their are far better brands that wont damage my hair as much. id like to invest in a good curling iron and ionic hair dryer. has anyone tried the chi/t3 curling iron and/or the t3 tourmaline hair dryer? which brands would you recommend as far as ionic hair dryers and curling irons are concerned.

fresh sheets of paper, a range of different colored highlighters, and a bouquet of new pens and pencils were replaced with 3 new pairs of shoes. not sign of meeting my days objective to purchase school supplies but i emerged a happy girl [with a much emptier wallet].
