Yeah, it's past 4 in the morning. I'm having no luck sleeping. This happened the night before Boston, too - dunno if I'll just chuck sleeping altogether or if I'll try again in a few minutes.
Anyway, one more chapter left to edit/post for A Day in the Life. After that's done I'll start editing the X-fic, which (if memory serves) is eleven chapters. I'm currently working on the sixth chapter of my Harry superhero fic, and I don't know when I'll continue writing Tommy 12. At some point I hope to fit in a Ron/Luna novella (yayyyyy Wilco) and a few one-shots, but we'll see.
The Cowboys game today was outright depressing. Besides that it's been a pretty interesting weekend; visited the Emory campus in (well, just outside of) Atlanta. Beautiful area.
Um. Well.
You! Yes, you there! *points* Talk to me! I'm bored at four in the morning and I'm seeking entertainment!
I'm weird.

So. Not a lot been going on recently. I've been reading a lot of fic and such, and trying to write some, but it's been slow going.
Michael Phelps is amazing. Of course. Obligatory Phelps gooiness and such here.
I need to post the next chapter of ADitL tonight. The X-Men fic is almost done, thank God.
And I'm out.

A Day in the Life has been updated with Chapter 17. That's not all, though. While reorganizing my files, I found the ORIGINAL Day in the Life draft. This was written somewhere between March and May of 2006 - about a year before I started work on A Day in the Life - and it was a Barty AU fic with no magic, just like ADITL. However, it was markedly different. I only got about halfway through the first chapter, but I thought it was interesting reading it. So naturally, I'm going to post it here with commentary!
I now present you with the rough draft of the unwritten story: ( Everything's Not Lost. )
Obviously I like song titles for fic titles.

Angst has overcome me! Oh noes my SOUL. </emo>
Title: Old Friends Die Hard Fandom: HP Rating: PG-13 Genre: Angst Wordcount: 3106 Summary: Peter Pettigrew, Halloween 1981. Some habits are harder to break. Notes: Yeah, plot bunnies strike with vicious, vicious teeth that just sink in and scream, "WRITE ME!!!!"

Ummmmm well. Done with most my schoolwork, so I'm going to start writing more - yay! Really excited about that. I've been reading a lot, as has been the case for the last month or two, and I'm just really looking forward to the summer... especially VIVA LA VIDA (or Death and All His Friends). Not in love with Violet Hill, although it's fun to sing along to, but Viva la Vida (the song) is one of my new favorites and from what I've heard of Lovers in Japan, it's a good mix of Parachutes and U2.
Anywho, no idea when I'll work on Tommy, but hopefully soon. Still trying to finish that Evo fic, but the going's slow on that one. I went to a Radiohead concert recently, and it was worht every penny. Thom Yorke is a crazy bastard, but it was awesome - the crowd was psyched, they had to come out for two encores. Radiohead = teh awsum.
No real exciting plans for any time soon. Hopefully I'll be able to make it down to my friend's lakehouse, and I'm excited to spend time in Boston (especially) and then New York in early July, and spending a few days in Austin later that month should be fun.
So. Gotten new inspiration from watching an episode of Evo last night on Veoh (they took a lot of the episodes off!), so I should go write.
(Viva la vida!)

Finished up this one-shot a few days ago and thought I should go ahead and post it.
Title/Link: The World is a Fried Egg Sandwich Fandom: X-Men: Evolution Rating: PG Genre: General/Friendship/Romance Wordcount: 1733 Summary: Kitty and Lance discuss their place in the world in a way that only they can. Notes: I had so much fun with this and really really like it, I don't completely know why, though.

Finished Lonely Werewolf Girl, almost done with Catch-22 (hoping to finish it tonight), about to start a Noam Chomsky book my friend lent me. Then after that it's either The World is Flat or this awesome book called Mind Control, which the same friend will let me borrow.
A Day in the Life has been updated. Really trying to get back in the writing mood, but it's not been easy so far. Oh well.

A really different fic for me.
Title/Link: Stained Lips Fandom: HP Rating: PG-13 Genre: Horror Wordcount: 1234 (I found this funny for some reason) Summary: Fenrir Greyback punishes one of his pack members but ends up getting more than he bargained for. Notes: Pushing PG-13, I think. Never written anything quite like this before. Only posted at FFNet.

Juno owns my soul, so... yeah.
Title: Love-Hate Subtraction Fandom: Juno Rating: PG Genre: General Wordcount: 434 Summary: Juno says they have a love-hate relationship, but Paulie thinks one of the necessary components is missing. Notes: Random. Post-movie.
( 'I think I've decided that I hate you.' )

Chapter 9 of Tommy is up, at fanfiction.net here and at HPFF here. Hooray moderately quick updates!
Went to a Mavs game and they totally kicked ass, which was awesome. I'm pretty tired and should probably be off to bed. Hasta luego.

You Can Call Me Tommy has finally been updated, and just in the nick of time, too. You can see the new chapter here at HPFF or here at fanfiction.net. Go me! And the next chapter should be up in a week or two. Also, there's been a slight addition to the beginning of Chapter 1 explaining AU and whatever, but that's geared more towards new readers than anything.
I'm heading out early tomorrow morning and going out of town for a week. I probably won't be around much, but I'll try to get online every once in a while. Have a great holiday break, everybody.

New X-Men: Evo one-shot, because I've been obsessing this entire week.
Title/Link: Waitin' for a Superman Fandom: X-Men: Evolution Rating: T Genre: General Wordcount: 1919 Summary: As Pietro and the rest of the Brotherhood flee from the impending disaster in "No Good Deed," Lance stays behind. After all, somebody's got to play the hero. Notes: Been wanting to write this forever. Hooray Lance!

Chapter 6 of A Day in the Life is up, finally.
Last night's game was so frustrating. The Patriots got incredibly lucky, and the Ravens shot themselves in the foot. Wow. I hate the Pats so much. I mean, really. Can they be kicked out of the league? Please? I don't care if it's legal or not. I just hate them.
But enough about that. Ugh.
I've been really tired lately. No idea why. I wish House was still on. Stupid strike. I get why it's happening, but really. Come to an agreement - I want to watch my favorite shows!
And I'm a beast at Halo. (Not really. But I'm not terrible, which is somewhat amazing.)

New one-shot, completely random. Oh well. When inspiration strikes it strikes hard.
Title: Ten Years Gone (HPFF link) Fandom: HP Rating: T/15+/PG-13 Wordcount: 1702 Summary: Ten years after they last met, Harry encounters Dudley in the Muggle world and finds that time has changed the youngest Dursley. Notes: I had fun messing around with Matured!Dudley. Title is from a Led Zeppelin song, although it really couldn't be any more different from the fic.
Also, if you'd rather read at fanfiction.net - clicky clicky.

Finally getting around to post that house_las fic.
Title: Remember Fandom: House Rating: 12+ Genre: General Wordcount: 544 Summary: "I don't forget." House/Stacy Notes: house_las round 5: Forget. This one got me kicked off, which is ironic because I thought it was my best entry. I think the formatting issues the first go round (which I don't understand, it was fine when I tried it) didn't help.
( A permanent affliction. )
