Going through political withdrawal
Fiorina and others are at it again. Too tired to be properly annoyed, but this, from a CNN article, is really amusing.
"When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about the excess criticism or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, man, that doesn't do us any good," Palin told Newsweek magazine in March.
McCain campaign co-chair Meg Whitman obviously thinks differently than Fiorina.
Hours after senior McCain advisor Carly Fiorina and other campaign surrogates held a press conference blasting coverage of Sarah Palin they describe as excessive and sexist, campaign co-chair Meg Whitman said she didn’t see any sexism or unfairness in recent reporting on the presumptive Republican VP nominee.
When a Fox reporter asked Wednesday if there had been sexism in coverage of Palin, Whitman responded: "I wouldn't say there really has."
"I actually think it's completely fair for the media to vet Sarah Palin," said Whitman, and reporters were correct to investigate someone who is campaigning for “the highest office in the land."
Note to Fiorina and others: let Palin speak for herself and if you're going to cite sexism, have actual examples. I think Palin can defend herself, and I expect she will - eloquently - in her speech tonight.
Lest this turn into a political blog, I finished my X-Men Lance/Kitty fic, finally, and I'll start editing it coming up here. Besides that, not too much is going on. Looking forward to House, whenever it starts. Hope it hasn't already.
