And it was dead good and my favourite so far I think. I went to see it witht two people who had never read the books which actually made it more fun

I am excited about tomorrow, I love this one episode a night thing - I wasn't sure at first but it has been brilliant and great at building momentum because there isn't a whole week for you to forget the wee details.
There is a BB3 repeat isn't there? I hope so because tomorrow I am going to watch Andy's band support The Lucksmiths, yay.

I don't have swine flu, just an evil virus. It did take them over a week to tell me though and I don't think I can be off sick from my work ever again without getting into trouble so I am going to have to try and be stupidly healthy.
I am still off my work sick, loads better but bone weary I have never been so tired after an illness before. I went for a walk down to a different park on sunday and sat by a river reading a paper and thought that would help me get back into the working spirit but the next day I woke up feeling like I had run a marathon. I am off until thursday trying to chill out and I'm going to T in the park at the weekend (not camping though I'm staying at my grans so thats better) so that will not be restful. I hate feeling this week and it is more annoying because I was getting a good level of fitness up there.

- 08:42 i am sitting in cologne in the sunshine and I just got off the best train ever. Ace. #
- 21:45 I am going on holiday tomorrow and I don't have to work for two weeks. Hurrah. #
- 09:21 wondering if is too early to drink beer even if she is on holiday... #
For the past few months I feel like someone has pressed the fast forward button on my life and it's not been bad I've just been busy busy busy and everything has zoomed past me. I have been forced to slow down to absolute stop this week because the cold that has been threatening to batter me for a few weeks has finally taken a stranglehold and it is driving me crazy. I have an Open University essay due in today which I haven't finished so I'm going to have to ask for an extension and I'm going to have to build up loads of flexi in three days next week to make up for the stuff I missed this week.
BUT, on Tuesday Andy and I will have been married for three years and I am (hopefully) having a party tomorrow to celebrate and we will have a pizza-off to see which of us can make the best pizza and then this time next week I will be on holiday for two and a bit weeks and I'm going to Brussels, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona (for Primavera yay) and Ibiza. I can't wait but this cold better get lost before then.
Things I have been doing recently:
-Failing to listen to the Eight and Lucie audio new series - I like to leave them for a walk to work but I think I might listen to the whole of Scapegoat today -I wasn't as keen on Wirrn Dawn as I had been on the earlier episodes it felt a bit flat to me, no matter how much I love Lucie.
- I am in love with Ashes to Ashes, it just keeps getting better and better this series, it's the only thing I care about watching on tv at the moment and it's funny and manages to suprirse me a bit each episode too.
-I have new hair. Still blonde but now Louise Brookes-esque bob. On the whole I like it but it is probably the most high maintenence haircut I've ever had, weirdly.
-I went to see Girls Aloud and it was brilliant and very very strange. I have been going to gigs since I was little but I have never been to a big pop gig before and it was quite odd to be on the floor and have seats that no-one sat in but made it hard to dance but they looked amazing and the tunes were brilliant and me and Gemma got drunk and danced like crazy anyway.
-I went to see Star Trek and I wasn't expecting all that much but it was amazing, I would actually go and see it again.
-Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal is my new favourite song...that is all.

i JUST WENT TO SEE GIRLS ALOUD AND IT WAS PRETTY GOOD. KIMBERLEY WINS. THAT IS ALL.
I am dead tired and I have this horrible cold thing and a headache to boot but I think I am going to watch Ashes to Ashes again to cheer me up.
The postman just broke my letter box by shoving through a dvd boxset. I was in as well if he had just knocked I wouldn't have had a broken letterbox.
I am extremely fucked off and now I have to go to work.

Working on a friday night is rubbish, I am consoling myself with the fact
that I finish in 56 minutes (now 42 mins) and counting and the fact that
tomorrow is musical day and I shall make mint choc chip cupcakes and Katie
and I will drink fizzy wine and be silly.

Yesterday I went back to work after a lovely couple of days off - went to Pressure at the Arches in a lovely new dress hung about with my parents and swapped some music, went to a friends gig and the Doctor Who exhibition - only to find someone had stolen my chair and replaced it with a rubbish one.
Today I found my chair and used all my super spy skills to steal it back - I'm very stealthy me (or I would be if I hadn't sort of fallen over on the way back) - and it was the high point of my day. I think this may tell you something about the kind of day I had.

I got this recipe somewhere off the internet and changed it up a bit but all the quantities are American measurements and I can never convert them accurately so in cups it stays.

I seem to find it quite hard to say memorable. It just gets stuck round my
tongue and it's happened about 6 times today. I am not impressed.
But It has been fairly quiet and it was a beautiful day to walk to work this
morning, it put me in a very good mood.
I want to waffle about the new Eight and Lucie audio but I don't know how to
do a lj cut when I post from email and livejournal doesn't work from my work
annoyingly.
I have been getting my holiday all planned out though, Andy and I are going
away for two and a bit weeks in May and getting the train around Europe - we
are going to Brussels first then Berlin, then Paris and then Barcelona for
the Primavera festival and ending up in Ibiza for a bit of lying about in
the sun. I can't wait.

I seem to be having a very Doctor Who day, I just watched enlightenment mostly to covet Tegan's pretty dress. *wants*

I wasn't sure about Being Human at first but it really grew on me and I am sad the series is finished now, it was all lovely and funny and dark and interesting and I want to know who the guy was at the end. A joy and I'm re-watching it all now.
Skins I'm still not entirely sure on, I liked bits of last nights episode but there is just entirely too much Cook in every episode and the only time I liked Freddie was in his own episode. MORE THOMAS PLEASE and why didn't he get to punch Cook?
