| Zombies = sickness |
[Oct. 11th, 2008|08:11 pm] |
|
few nights ago i had a dream about zombies, the walking dead. today i am sick, well was sick the day after the dream but i was also hung over.
i can feel my mouth starting to not taste throat also not feeling that good sneezing... spitting up chunks.
oh yay!
anyone know what i did wrong this month? anyone? maybe it was calling upon the dark lord on the last black moon?! hahaha i did play ritual music with the box of doom, return of the box of doom, like a zombie! yeah.
anyway real bad month for me i think. hand/wrist. quads. bad foot/ankle hard drive crashing. now i feel a tad better, get a new hard drive and i feel sick WTF?
i am NEVER sick at all, i eat very healthy & rest & do all good crap. boo.
today i did a photoshoot with my red & white wig. once i finish installing all my programs on my laptop i can edit & show ya...
oh yeah. ZOMBIES = sickness
about13 years ago i used to obsess over my dreams, i still do but i was really into them more than now, i grew lazy. i had this dream about dead people and all that, everything tasted & smelt more than ever in this dream. i looked it up & my dream dictionary said to dream of the dead ment you were getting sick.
well. looks like again it is right.
what next?!

To all of the Artists out there...I am considering getting my MFA when i move to boston and yes i've looked at a bunch of websites but i was wondering your personal opinions on the art programs in the area? The pros and cons of your school? major issues you constantly bitch about? things you love? i'll take any comments i can get to help me with my decision here. Oh and so you know I am a graphic design major but i want my mfa to either be in graphic design or ceramics, i cant decide i love them both. |

| | Modeselektor - Dancing Box (feat. TTC) | ] |
Since I forgot to post my song of the day yesterday, you get two today. Since I'm posting two today, you get two songs from one artist - Modeselektor. I love just about everything this band does. In my opinion, no one does the choppy vocals and fat beats the way that they do. It's nouveau glitch.
Song #1, Silikon, features vocals by Sasha Perera, who is in one of my other favorite bands, Jahcoozi. I found this song a couple of years ago and it was the first thing I had ever heard by Modeselektor and I was absolutely hooked. It was unlike anything I had heard before.
Song #2, Dancing Box, features vocals by TTC. You just don't get enough French rap these days. TTC is another band that I like pretty much everything they do. It's choppy and fun. Enough said.

| | 02130 | ] | Could anyone tell me where I can get several posters of various sizes laminated in the Jamaica Plain area? I'd rather not use Staples or Kinkos because they charge $3 per square foot. Or is this the least inexpensive I'm going to find for a job well done? Thanks! |

Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.
To love is to be vulnerable."

| | seasons in the abyss, bitches. | ] | It's sort of funny what my brain manages to retain while the important and precious details of experience in memory leak away like grains of sand.
In this case, I'm happily singing along to Slayer. I remember every word of songs I haven't listened to MANY, MANY YEARS.
When I was with Kyle, we had our metal afternoons every now and then, because both of us were ex-metalheads... but it was more the glam/hair stuff. Faster Pussycat and Ratt and what-have-you.
I'm amused. This week has seen me download a shit ton of metal albums. It's happily nostalgic for me. |

| Video of Dan at Equus |
[Oct. 11th, 2008|08:22 am] |
A little background story to this video. After zoning for a second I thought...STUPID...Jade...you have video capability on this camera...USE IT! So I did for a few seconds that I could manage. At one point, everyone started to shove forward and lijahlover and I were so lovingly slammed into the gate (her more than I) and Dan asked if she was ok after signing the last autograph. Lijahlover was blessed with his concern for her. :)

| Taxi stands |
[Oct. 11th, 2008|10:51 am] |
|
Is there such thing as a map of the cab stands in the metro area? It seems like most T stops here in the city usually have a line of taxis waiting, but I assume that gets less common the farther out you go. Can I take the T out to Oak Grove or Riverside and find a cab waiting? |

| Calling All Crafters: Come Teach a Class at Spark! |
[Oct. 11th, 2008|09:10 am] |
I just wanted to let Boston crafters know that Spark Craft Studio is currently looking for 1099 contractors to teach classes/lead parties in jewelry-making, beadwork, crochet, knitting, paper crafts, cardmaking, etc. If it's creative and crafty and you have an idea for a class, let us know!
Spark provides a stylish & social environment and the resources you need to make creativity an easy and fun part of everyday life. We founded this company based on a few simple beliefs:
* Everyone has the potential to be creative. * Creativity can fit easily into our busy schedules with the right support. * Crafts should be relaxing and fun – not stressful or intimidating! * A community of peers can motivate and inspire us. * The objects we create should make us happy and proud. * Handwork is a centuries-old tradition worth preserving.
Whether you visit the studio for a class, a party, or just to hang out, we hope you will enjoy the Spark Craft Studios experience. We welcome your feedback as we grow and look forward to seeing you in the studio!
If you are interested in teaching a class at Spark Craft Studios, please contact Bonnie at hello@sparkcrafts.com or 617.441.5200 for details.
We are looking for contract (1099) instructors to teach their own unique classes in any of the following categories: knitting, crocheting, embroidery, cross-stitch, beaded jewelry making, metal clay, card making, scrapbooking, mosaics, paper crafts, sewing, and more!
Your creativity is the only requirement so go ahead and pitch us an idea for a cool new class at the studio.
Classes related to creativity but not necessarily craft-focused will also be considered.
