Hello and Goodbye

  • Dec. 10th, 2009 at 2:44 PM

Hello everyone!

I'm back but I have relocated to my strictly food only blog! Please feel free to add me @ http://feedingthekat.livejournal.com/ if you enjoy reading food reviews and anything else to do with food, coffee, cocktails and all those wonderful treats. Mind you I'm moving over the weekend so my first post might be in a week or so time. Hope to see some of you on the other side ;)

-Katja xx

farewell!

  • Sep. 22nd, 2009 at 11:54 AM

Over the weekend I chopped a huge chunk away from my livejournal/facebook. It was something I've been meaning to do for awhile.
I mainly chopped away those I never read or never post, those who were just random adds from both parties or those who at the end of the day I was once friends with but not any more...Which is cool people grow apart. Some of course are harder to let go than others but if there is no contact outside the internet any more than I don't see the point in holding onto that old flame.

I've been thinking lots lately about what I'm doing and the kinda peace within myself I want to achieve. I have a 3 week break coming up soon and I'll be using that time to do a few things I know that my heart wants so much. I'm going to teach myself some better drawing skills, I'm going sing my heart away all day long...doing the dishes, chatting on the net...I'll be singing and I'm going to cook LOTS! I have a shit load of cook books.I really need to do more cooking. I know I will once we move (I never feel 'right' in shared kitchens, almost like I have to rush out of there constantly)

hehe that was one good party!

I had to take the day off today because I was too hung over. OH DEAR :-/ So now after washing the dishes, I'm gonna sit me down with a tasty pumpkin salad and a frappe and watch the final of project runway. Later on I may just find myself buying some new perfume. Oh la la.

Just a reminder.

For those without facebook, I'm just putting reminder up for my BOMBSHELLS & BAD BOYS party on the 19th of September.

The theme is to yourself dress up to look sharp, sexy and glamorous!

It starts at 6pm (Happy Hour for cocktails <3) and is located in the elbow room at The Rose Of Australia in Erskineville.

There will be nibbles and cake and also a personal waiter to take drink orders for the evening! If you want to come early but need to eat dinner, You can also order from the bistro and eat it in the room if you don't want to leave the shing-ding!

Hope to see you all there. X

As you all know every birthday and Christmas Rob and I do evil things to each other like leave the present on the table for a few weeks!

So guess what kiddies, It's time to play GUESS WHAT'S IN THE BOX!

I'm dumb struck by this one! I hinted a new camera or sewing machine...But it's the wrong shape for both those things! :O

-Still fighting my damn frock addiction :P
-cancelled the garden court(It looks lovely but I hate not getting enough sleep on school nights, So going somewhere local instead(well local for my friends but easier for R and I to get home from)

and the good things
-Had a lovely weekend(hooray for my cold staying away until all the fun stuff was over)
-Went to Chatswood on Saturday morning followed by meeting up with the lovely Kate for lunch at El Bashas and frocking around(my latest victim is a lovely, lovely orange frock). Followed by dinner at Karlos'(he cooked a delicious pumpkin and pesto dish)
-Really digging Kasabian's music
-Yesterday we went to The Book Kitchen in Surry Hills, It was fantastic food but a little pricey. But quite filling!
-The Black Eyed Sausan's are playing at The Vanguard in November. \o/
-Looking forward to seeing all my family on the 12th.I very Rarely see my cousins etc.
-I have 3 types of ice cream in my freezer. THREE! blood orange, coconut and lime and orange peel with lemon curd...So bloody good.

Rob and I intend to move back to the inner west and start looking in mid october. Our current housemate likes the north so he will not be coming with us. We are looking for somebody who would be willing to pay up to $200 a week (our ideal place would be between $450-$550 for 3 br We have expended our maps from the inner inner west(IE: Newtown, Erko) to places like Ashfield and ditto for the bankstown line (St Peters to Campsie).

Who we are:

Female in her 20s, male in his 30s. Interior student and IT evil master mind. We both like geeky things. he is a gamer, she is a dreamer...They like to eat meat and prefer non smokers, However smoking outside is ok as long as you throw the buds in the bin and not in pot plants. We are not so fond of drugs and would rather them be kept away from the house! We intend to adopt our first kitty in the near future but we do welcome cats and other small pets. But it'd be good if they are clean, house trained and not psycho around other animals. We also would like our housemate to be house trained :P and while we are not a crazy ocd anal german gay couple we do however like a house that has cleaned bench tops and flushed toilets!

So if anyone is interested and can hold out till that time, let us know!! Pass it on too

I felt that it has been some time since I've spoke about my psychologist. But I feel that I should mention that it's just been a great experience...He has really shown me how to be me, how to let happiness in and how to enjoy living. :-) I say this because I recently went to see one of my GP's to give him update, anyway the doc reported back to Steve(psych) and he seemed extremely happy with what was said. It's nice to know that he has helped me in a way that no other professional has done in the past and that I am able to reassure him that he is damn good at his job. It's a really nice bond and quite strange. I don't have those feelings towards him as a close supporting friend(and I'm glad I don't, because I know it could never be a 'real' friendship) but I do think he has really guided me to see the other side. The happy side so and I am really thankful for that. It's hard to say this stuff because it is hard to know how to really express my gratitude towards him. Sometimes words are not enough you know? I'm pretty sure he knows this already as we have already discussed how great we 'work?' together as a psych/patient team. I also have to thank [info]arradius for all this, too. :)
