2icsection9@gmail.com BioBatou is a main male character in the Ghost in the Shell series, the second best melee fighter in Section 9 and is the second in command under Major Motoko Kusanagi.
Batou had served in a military special forces team before entering Section 9. Most of his body is comprised of cybernetic prosthetics. Based on several of the Stand Alone Complex episodes Batou seems to have been in the American Imperial Army at some point before he joined Section 9. His unit was involved in World War III and was deployed to South America, where they accidentally stumbled across an American Imperial Navy unit conducting a covert operation codenamed Project Sunset. Batou's eyes are grey and clearly artificial, and are standard cybernetic equipment used only with Ranger Special Forces teams.
