Worked for ten damn hours today. Should (or is that "could"?) have been more, but I was on the verge of breaking down, could not concentrate and almost started to cry. What? So I weent hom a little earlier than I maybe "should have" (there were still some rooms that needed to be cleaned).
Yes, I still work at that damn fucking bitch hotel!
No, I do not like it there, but I get money atleast, and I need a job, so I am staying this summer.

On to funner stuff.
Last Thusrday I was in Grebbestad for the day. Hilde had an exhibition at the school...

(I still have not recovered form work, I can not spell correct)

... in "Lilla Galleriet". I met her there, definitely fun to see how she was doing now. And to see her stuff, some printings (is that even a word, or better, the word I am looking for?) she did while in school, a plaid (softest thing ever) made of "alpackagarn", and some more stuff.
I spent more time on trains than I did in Grebbestad, but it was worth it.
(8.44 to 12.29 train to Grebbestad, left at 3.09 and came home around 8 after som irritating delays; I really do not like SJ)

And , while we are talking about Grebbestad, two month late: Atleast I got to hug you.

West Coast Riot

Today (eh, Yestraday, it is past, twelve) has felt very long ... kind of. I actually woke up at half past ten.

Emelie and me went to Gothenburg (with car) 15 to 11, for the West Coast Riot.
When we left Borås I was in a very good mood, it only lasted half the way to Gothenburg, while driving there we passed a car lying upside-down, the accident had just happened too, the ambulance just arrived. Scary.
When we arrived to Gothenburg, and found a parkinglot at one back-stage entrance (to the Close-Up stage we found out later, this is where The Used were going to play) then we went to the trainstation to meet Marre (with boyfriend, Jimmy, and friend, Kim) and <strike>accidently</strike> ran into Malin too. We decided to go and eat (four o six were very hungry) so Emelie and I made them agree to go to Andrum. Malin did not like the vegetaian food.

Inside the festival area we watched a band Malin wanted to see, Ticking Bombs, at the Close-Up stage. Already there were <strike>people</strike> teenies <strike>standing</strike> sitting in front of the stage, waiting for The Used. All of them did not even stand up when the band played!
After that it was time for No Fun At All at one of the mainstages, and you should listen to that band name, they were boring!
But next band, Comeback kid, made up for that. They were great to watch. Much screaming. I got the feeling they are really good live, but less so on CD.
After them Emelie and I decided to take a break and eat some, so we went to the car and stayed there for a while.
I watched Lagwagon from the bridge while Emelie went to find a not-festival-area-toilet. The band was ok. The singer once said "Merry Chirstmas" (huh?) and one of the guitarists? turned 30 that day (we like to go to concerts when bandmembers has their birthday). Emelie came back just after they finished playing.
Back at the festival-area we met Malin again and went to get a spot for Flogging Molly. Those dudes are fun! It was much like at Pier Pressure last year, when Less Than Jake played. It was just ... FUN! Except when people stepped on my feet, they already hurt, as I had my Concert-Shoes, which I have only used six times (five concerts and my graduation) and they are almost too small.
Next up was Bad Religion, I had planned to stay and watch them and then make a short trip to The Car after they were done, but changed my mind as we got great spots in the front row at the stage Millnecollin were playing later (and there were not many people in front of that stage at the moment), so I went to the car while Bad Religion played, left Malins bag, got some for Emelie to drink and collect some other things from the car that we had forgotten earlier and bought The Used t-shirts (to Emelie and me). I heard Bad Religion all the time and it did not feel like I missed anything. When I came back there were alot more people in front of the stage where Malin and Emelie stood (where the other three were, I do not know) but I succeeded to get to them.
The stages are about two meters high, so during Millnecollin's performance my neck started to hurt a bit. Those dudes are really good live. I recognized one of the songs they played. The people behind pushed forward really hard! I had an elbow stuck to my back many times. Twenty minutes before they were done I decided to go to the Close-Up stage to get as close to the stage as possible for The Used, Emelie joined me too. But as there were no way that one could get our by pushing back, I got the security guards to help us out. Interestning experience, or something.
When we arrived at the Close-Up stage Moderat Likvidation were playing (what cind of name is that?) and 90% of the crowd were younger than 17 and waiting for The Used. So when tha band left the stage and only The Used fans were left, one could not notice any difference in the crowd, because it was packed with <strike>teenies</strike> people. I got os to the ... fourth? fifth? row, right in front of Jeph's mic.
I <strike>almost</strike> hoped many of the people in front of us would pass out. so it would be easier to move <strike>and we could get closer to the stage</strike>. Before The Used came on stage it was difficult to move and when they finally did it was it was difficult to stand still, instead every one were moving back and forth trying not to fall (which I almost did a few times). Emelie and I soon forced out way out to safer space and got as close as second row in front of the speakers (as usual). Much better air and not nearly as much pressure from all sides. The Used's performace was kind of a disapointment for me, the way the crowd acted had alot to do with it, I think. And they only played for 45 mminuter (that I knew before), but they did played more from the first album than was expected and no songs from Shallow Believer, which I thought (and hoped) they would. But as it is only internet released I am not going to complain.

We left the area with Malin to go to the car. When we caem there I saw a parked car at the back entrance with some people arount it so Malin and i decided to go there and see what was happening, Emelie came with us too, but when it seemed to be dead she started to walk to the car to get some water, only to have both Malin and me screaming at her to come back as Bert came out to the car at that moment. The whole band got outside but Emelie and I only got to talk shorlty with Jeph (pictures and an autograph for me) Malin also caught Bert, and then they left. And we went to our car, drank water and I ate some and we decided to drive Malin to some pub, wich took longer that it shhould have because I took smoe wrong turns (yay, maybe, it was actually an interesting experience.

I all it was a good day and I had fun, even though The Used was kind of disapointening.

No Fun At All, Comeback Kid, Lagwagon, Bad Religinon

No Fun At All

Comeback Kid

Lagwagon
From the bridge with the most zooming I can get with my camera

Bad Religinon

Random dude, Festival-area

Made me laugh.

Flogging Molly, Millencollin

Best picture of the day (I think).

The Used
It was a lot smoke on the stage so the pictures did not turn out that good, I only chose the best ones (I changed the light on most of them after)

Me and Jeph

Autograph (the one to the right), it is upside-down!

Whatever now I am going to sleep.

So this update about the Exhibition came later than I had planned.

The lunch was early, at eleven, the same time as everything opened and mom and dad decided to show up. I left my roomkey to them as they both were going to borrow my shower (the bathroom at home is in progress to get a new outfit, and therefore it has no shower. Yet.) while I went to eat. Half an hour later we started to walk around the school to look at everything.
First stop was the Gymnasium. I had not seen it finished before so it was fun to see how it turned out in there. Then I showed mom and dad all around the school and visited the rooms in which the different classes presented their activity.

At two I had an hour shift in the sewing classroom, We had made a schedule on when we were supposed to be in the sewing or weaving classrooms to present what we are doing in our class. So I left the parents to go there and they left the school for a while to look at the sea. Nothing too interesing happened durig this hour. I just sat around and talked with Nina, who had the shift with me, and the occasional visitors. I did not get any work done.
When the hour was up I went to my shift in the weaving classroom, which I had with Chrisitna (one of the half-timers), during this time I also worked with the piano. It happened more things here, than during my other shift. There were definitly more visitors to talk with. It was always someone there.
Erik came up once and helped me a little with my weaving; he stepped on one of the pedals, once.
Frida E. and Oscar came there with some people they know. And I showed one of the friends how to weave, eh, more like he watched while I weaved for a minute or two.

My shift was over at four, and then it was time for me and the parents to load in things that I do not need here anymore, into the car for them to take home. After they drank some tea. Then they went home.
And I am making progress with seeing them leave. When I first came here and I watched the car leave, I was almost crying. When they were here with Bodil, I waved at them and waithed outside until the car had disappered. And now I went into the house at once after I had said good bye to them. Hmm.

Five o'clock, meant Anniversarycoffee in the dining room for old and present students.

First, the weaving classroom.

This greeted people when they went up the stairs. Fingercrochet, or "påtning"? There is no English word for that, but fingercrochet is the closest I can get to describe it. I used it in my carpet.

One hell of a big ball of fingercrochet (and this is just one of three) in front of my carpet. It was Nina's idea to put the crochet on the floor all the way to the stairs.

One of the walls.

Then the sewing classroom:

I had my vest, skirt (made for me) and shirt there.

And last the gymnasium:

Our "corner"

The Clay corner

And the Funiture design classes had the other half.

My things:

Cats.

The black and blue ... thing on the wall to the right.

To left on the column.

Close-up on a other things:

Frida B.'s obsession with Dalahorses.
Three days of this week has passed and I have had three diffenrent Green Day songs stuck on my mind.

Monday: Favourite Son
Tuesday: Homecoming
Wednesday: Hitchin' a Ride

In all three cases I know just a few lines. It was those lines I kept singing.

I have started with my carpet now. Finally.
Still working on my pants though. Hopefully I will finish them this week. Well, finish the sewing part. The writing on them is another story.

Me and my eye are friends again. Thankyouverymuch, I can use contacts again.

I have half of it left.
Next week I will start with my rag carpet. Interesting. Colored some old sheets black for it today.

My right eye is a bitch.
I think I have a small Mest-nostalgia-period.
Last Friday while I was in the sewingclassroom and worked, the radio was on and they taked about which bands the listeners would like to see doing re-union tours.
Meh, that only mad me sad that I didn´t got to see Mest live...

I am almost done with my vest, it is now about ten cm longer and have the lines I´m taking back the life you stole and I´m jaded now whatever that means in weaved bands, where the sleeves once sat. Now I just have to do that Mest patch and sew on everything else on it.
The next thing for sewingclass are pants. I have started with mine. Decided to write Pants On Fire on the left (I think) leg.

And in weavingclass we are doing ... art weavings?
It is in one of the techniques we try that I will make that Mest patch.

A test
For Mest.
<strike>and just because that rhyme that got two lines</strike>

Morris!

Both are in the technique called lisere. Also did a The Used Heart. And two random cats.
I have also done the same picture of Morris and another of Morot in damast.

Klara and I.
Hilde saw us talk once and thought we were sisters, so now we have adoped eachother.

I love the word random.

Yesterday was interesting.
Had a power failure in half of the school. In random places too. We had Sewing class and the lamps in ceiling worked, but none of the sewing machines did.
Lunch was 30 minutes early because of the power failure, and by that time the power was shut off in the whole school, so someone could look at what-ever-it-was-that-had-happened.
At two pm the power came back on.

I have started to work at my Do Redo project, the jean vest. So far I have cut of the sleeves and am working on ... extending? it with about one dm.

We got two new looms today. Two of the old are sold. The new ones needs to get a tan. They are almost as white as I am, pssh.
We had a dance floor in our classroom before the new ones came up. The dance floor lacked music. No one danced. We cleaned. And got irritated at the air in the room, it was full of dust. Hilde has asthma and had to leave. She was in the Print Room and worked. Me and Tofva went there a few times to get fresh air. And talk to Hilde.

That is all for this post.
I think...

Yes.
