Hello! [17 Jun 2009|03:14am] A quick one before I crash Bea helping us get our fake lashies on cos . . . . The Straits Times people were over for an interview+photoshoot! It really ain't easy being a model and thank God we have Bea! I now know how tough her job must be & I look exceptionally bad (and fat) next to her.. It's also a pity Jie couldn't join us, so Bea modeled one of Jie's manufactured items ;) BonitoChico's gonna be featured on The Straits Times' National Day Special - 44 Things you Like about Singapore and we're representing  the "Blogshops" part. Don't know how we feel about the media coverage cos honestly we've never looked to advertising/publicity.. But we're definitely very very honoured to be able to represent the 'Blogshopsphere'. Hopefully all goes well :) -- I've been receiving quite a number of emails asking if the studio at the office is for rent. Yes it is!! & that's if you don't mind my crazy monkeypals jumping around during your shoot.... This has got to be the best shot - one try, one shot. Credits to the photographer who happens to be yours, truly. Teeheex And from what I gathered, it's been attracting lots of attention on Facebook P.S. One Day in the Year of the Fox, [12 Jun 2009|04:46pm] Came a time remembered well... I am suddenly feeling very very alone. My dearest wingmen Jie and Rach are both enjoying the cold weather in AUS while I have so so so many things to do for BC. Corresponding with the sponsers, casting for the catwalk models, handling my backorders that ALL arrived at the same time etc. etc. Ah, I can't wait for my BIG FAT break. And thank God they're coming back soon, I have SOOOO much to tell them.. P.S. Tiff, if you're reading this please drop me a text k? I lost your number!! :( The old folks at home are also off to Europe, so it's only Ern and I left (she's really been such a great help). Well my parents were overlooking all of Jie's and my parcels the past 3 weeks esp when all the backorders kept arriving, and they really do deserve this break. They couldn't stop reminding me about my parcels right till the departure hall. How dear my parents are. Well, hope Mum comes back with some delicious stuff ;) I promise I'd do anything to make sure they retire and enjoy their old age soon. There in the middle of the circle he stands, Searching, seeking. With just one touch of his trembling hand, The answer will be found. Daylight waits while the old man sings, Heaven help me! Winds of Change [01 Jun 2009|02:54am] Yay, finally time for an update on this space! :) Here's some random photos of recent happenings taken from the Canon, I have such a bad habit of accumulating too many and then being too lazy to upload them. I still have plenty from the Leica that I will post up another time :) . . . I've been busy sourcing for furniture, applying for utilties and trying to set up everything at the new office that it's been keeping me so so so occupied! Just to share my excitement amidst all the other crazy happenings during the process (I shan't mention those), I took some pictures of the empty space for rememberance and here's a sneak peek: From the main door, these two flight of steps lead to two different sections of the space. And this is what I like about the place most :) The left side is for all my stock and the photo studio; the other side's my personal living/working area Most furnishing have been done, and the studio equipments have all arrived (spent quite a bit on these things), and will take more pics once everything's more or less settled! :) And look what Fred&I came across while sourcing for all the stuff: CozyCot's office! HAHA we both laughed our butts off when we saw that! Don't know why but it seemed so amusing & we took a car lift! Very interesting. The last time I took a car lift was in Melb when parking in Fred's apartment. Didn't know Singapore had  car lifts as well. Thanks for all your help babe, you've been such a sweetheart :) -- Brotziet German Bier Bar & Restaurant for Fred's Dad's Bday Awesome pork knuckles and thank God we managed to grab the last two knuckles of the night These pictures are acutally for Tus; I promise to bring you there one of these days!! :) -- We both been having bad bad sleeping cycles of 7am - 4pm so we decided to stay up one morning to revert back to a normal cycle. We wanted to do something fun and knowing how Singapore has got nothing to offer, we made a really last minute decision to take a boat ride out to the 'O'.. Had such a sleepy + terrible morning cos I couldn't find my passport + Sushi Tei at Vivo served bad sashimi! But the boat ride back was definitely sweeeeet cos we both won big ;) Yup and Angie has such good taste, she got me this Ducati Historica tee from Europe and everyone has been praising it non stop! :) -- My Alexander Wang/Balmain Inspired outfit and my crazy 6inch python-skin heels It was a Friday night and we had nothing to do, and because Fred had an unfinished bottle at Velvet, we decided to rope in Tus Kim Freddie and Zan for some drinks. The night ended with Balestier Bak Kut Teh & a lot of lawyer talk. Thank God for Freddie&Zan the perfect lawyer couple ;) I was trying to take a pic of how high the heels were and I shouldn't be forgiven for such terrible unpedicured toes I <3 my shoes -- Speaking of shoes.... Tiff & I managed to find some rather hardcore ones in a boutique when we awarded ourselves a shopping day in Siam Forgive our very ahmaish looks -- Ikea meatballs after a physically exhausting day of moving my stock to the new place. Tus Kim and Fred deserve all the credit in the world, and of course Tus the Octopus looked exceptionally handsome that day . . . HAHA whhooops sorry Maria -- Tea&scones with Zan and Aless :) -- Back to emails!! STRESSED >:( [08 May 2009|06:14pm] C'MON, GIVE ME A BREAK GMAIL! Once you reset my limit, you give me server problems. Daymn. I have 400+ on belluspuera@gmail and 200+ on belluspuera2@gmail, tell me how tell me how Kim&Tus came all the way down to CCK to spend time with us last night, and promised Fred&I movie tix if we can finish work by tonight. I say absolutely no way if Gmail keeps working up like that. Tus accuses me of stealing Fred away from him, how gay is that.........   GGGGGGAAHHHHHHHH I see my weekend going down the drain >:( x100 -- Jie&I are getting something for each aunty (mum's cell group girlfriends) from our manufactured collection for Mothers' Day and they'll be choosing later when they're over.. (haha they get a first look at our newly arrived stuff). I don't know how we're gonna pull that off when all my stock is in sucha mess. Plus the car is full of Jie's backorder stock I helped collect earlier today and they have yet to be unloaded cos there's absolutely no space left at home. Hope you're reading this, Jie. But I forgive you cos I trust you're getting a really yummy cake for tonight :) I can't wait for Monday when I get the keys so we can move the whole storeroom filled with mine + Rach + Jie's stock to the new place and finally get down to decluttering and organizing them.. I'm gonna build racks for you both too. That's something I'm really looking foward to this week apart from Mothers' Day lunch with the family & the ORD LOH party with the guys on Wed (I hope to wear my newly aquired hardcore shoes out that night). BonitoChico Clothes! [29 Apr 2009|02:51pm] Teeheex, I ransacked Jie's new bags of stock and kept this superb Pleated Bustier and a couple of other items (the crochet summer dress, the laced top and the mod top) for myself first before her launch. The Bustier is crazy amazing, kudos to Jie and our supplier for their hard work. Boy, to think I nearly paid 200+ for sth similar! I sound like a raving lunatic but the material and cut of the dress is woohoo what I'd call unprecedented.. And that's why we're so proud of all these little 'breakthroughs' into new fabrics and such. Yup that's the dress she's wearing, and we coincidentally wore our manufactured stuff out for Mum's birthday dinner And guess what, mum is so proud to be able 'model' some of BC's items too! :) Glad you are loving the bag we got you, I know you're reading this ;) Not forgetting my sweetheart baby sis, showing Fred&I her purchases after dinner.. Fred as usual, trying to show off his recent knowledge about BC's stuff: "wah Ern, you could have bought a Bare-Back Chiffon Frock with the amount you paid for your shorts!" Ern: -__"- HAHAHAHA Then we had a good time bonding at Jie's new pad, playing bridge, having coffee + my all time fave Da Paolo scones while the parents went off for drinks. -- Speaking of the Bare-Back Chiffon Frock, I'm quite glad that response was good even though now's not really the time&season for such dresses. I made a mental note to keep one for myself, but I always always forget to keep one aside and now I'm on my own backorder list. Hee I really do have a penchant for back-details, even though my back is no where near flawless.. But I realised it's only in Bali (where no one really cares), or parties/events like Sheilala's 21st that I wear bareback stuff, so I am gonna try churning out more wearable back detail dresses so everyone can wear them anytime! -- Taking a break during the shoot cos the weather was toooooo hot! Luckily I dressed down in that super pretty eyelet top that day! I'm so in love with it I kept 3 (!!!) colours for myself.. To prep for the super hot days coming ahead Fred drove out halfway to get the Killiney toast he kept raving to Beatrice about and she's a spokesperson for Killiney Kaya Toast now haha We headed to town after the shoot and noticed this girl wearing BC's dress crossing the road; and she turned out to be Rach! Hee It's been so long since we met outside the context of work and even longer since we took a bestfriend shot! My newest addition to the family!! :) Rach is right, I have waaay to many accessories But I love baubles and charm bracelets so I fell in love with this immediately plus there's a super romantic story behind this :):) -- Gossip Pub with the pals the other night The guitarist there is ZOMG hands down best in Asia. That's me in the Chiffon Ruffle Blouse and the newly arrived manufactured zip jacket; my current obsession right now. Kept one with gold zips and one with silver zips so I can match all my clothes/accessories accordingly.. And trust me, I've been doing that!! Hahahaha I'm nuts.. But I'm so in love with these Balenciaga-Inspired zip jackets cos they go with everything! And of course, I don't think I'm capable of owning a Balmain blazer just yet! -- I'm really not used to taking self shots (seriously admire those who take amazing ones), and those you see above come with loads of practise! Ah but with our recent problems with the studio lighting and such, we have to take these out-of-studio shots just in case. Honestly, we really put in a lot of effort in making sure our photos are 99% true!! Wokay, enough about work! I just had a massage last night but my back's still aching from sitting in front of the comp too much. I don't know if it's my posture? I think I have to see an acupuncturist soon. I went to one for my 6-month-old sprained finger (from my bike accident) and surprisingly it's healing quite well now.. I still can't believe I haven't collected my x-ray and delayed treatment till now. It still hurts and is pretty swollen.. and the reason why I've been so stubborn? I'm afraid I'll loose mobility to my finger and then not be able to reply emails! AHha daymn. Swine flu go away, I need a getaway this weekend!!  >:(   55 comments|post comment
