The return of the bloody phlegm!!!!!
I think it's a stupid guy thing. Gah.
Dude.

I dunno, first person that did it to me was a woman--and she was in her forties or fifties. Lack maturity, much?

And you know? You do *not* sound like you're from New York. At all.

Well! If you're going to be insulting, I believe I'll take my Legos and play with the other kids!
::sniffs::

Heh. I mean...New York! Fu'giddaboudid!

When I eventually make it to the west coast, of course everyone will think I've got a heavy, nigh incomprehensible NY accent. Or ::gasp:: what if they don't?

Been hearing that my whole life. No matter what part of NY city, what part of NY state, people seem to think I sound like California. Although I've heard Wisconsin and Canada few times.

I personally think my NY accent is just a bit--except when I'm angry--understated and elegant. Like a fine calzone.

=P

*no, it's not funny. not funny at all. men suck.*

You know, since it happened, I've realized, it's not--overwhelmingly--a race thing. I think it's a regional thing. I can't imagine anyone of any race doing that sort of thing in NYC. Cars are like knives and guns there: if you aim it at someone, be prepared to use it or you'll be sorry.

You never know who's Connected--or who's just got a pistol in their pocket and really good aim. If I'd been near some rocks or something, once I realized my life wasn't in immediate danger, I'd have probably tried to break his . . . windshield.

It's living in the sticks that makes some people foolish and thoughtless, I think. Age and sex do play a part, too. My supervisor is younger than me--twenty-two, I think. I'm sure he's done things like that to his friends, and thought it was funny then, too. Probably his friends thought it was funny. The bored, young country-mice mindset. And just ninety minutes north of NYC. . . .

Hey, have you ever seen "Torchwood", the "Dr. Who" spinoff? The first episode of the second season has James Marsters in it and it's really good. I can dv-r it tonight and send it to you, if you like. Can a tv show be emailed? If not, I can snail mail it, too.

JM making out with another dude? Every bit as hot as imagined, and then some.
::cartwheels::

I'll be in my bunk . . . nursing my damn chest cold.
::sighs::

You're right, it might be a 'country' thing. It's the sort of stupid game rednecks would play. Gaaaaaaah.

And yeah, you just...i mean, yes, stereotype, but New York isn't the first place i'd pick. Unless, of course, you sound different in person. Phones aren't the best way to record a voice...

OMG. Torchwood. Dude. I *love* Torchwood. It's so fucking *fun*!! Have you seen all of it? I dl all of season one and watched and then have been getting the season two eps as they come out and omg. The slash is *canon*. From the very fist ep, it's *canon* and...Jack and Spike John kissing and Jack and *Ianto* kissing and...and...

And i *love* Tosh! And i love Gwen. I love them *all*!! 5TP, man.
Wheeeeee!

You need to friend [info]fodian and [info]kita0610 for more Torchwood squee.
*la*

A cold! That sucks.

LMAO--that sounds like a Jeff Foxworthy bit: Games Rednecks Play.

Forgive me, I'm fresh out of a Theraflu coma.

And yeah, you just...i mean, yes, stereotype, but New York isn't the first place i'd pick.

Yeah. It sucks. People work so hard to get rid of their NY (or wherever) accents. Me, I'm trying to get one.

Bass-ackwards, and proud of it!

Unless, of course, you sound different in person. Phones aren't the best way to record a voice...

My voice recorded always surprises me. It sounds creepy and weird. In person--I've been told my voice doesn't fit the way I look at all. That I look either scary or butch or both . . . until I open my mouth and this ridiculous voice comes out.

OMG. Torchwood. Dude. I *love* Torchwood. It's so fucking *fun*!! Have you seen all of it?

I watched S1 here and there . . . never really liked JH, thought he was kinda . . . smarmy. Hot, but in an untrustworthy way. Didn't care for him too much in Doctor Who, but he helped save the universe from the Daleks, and Rose/the TARDIS saw fit to make him immortal, so. . . .

I missed more of TW than I actually saw. None of the characters engaged me except Gwen, just a bit. Could've done with more of Suzy. The eps where she was reanimated were gold.

And Owen I kinda like. He's an asshole with a heart. I can get behind that. But he didn't grab me. No one did till S2 ep1. Marsters works miracles.

I dl all of season one and watched and then have been getting the season two eps as they come out

This is downloadable? Where? WHERE?!!!!

The slash is *canon*. From the very fist ep, it's *canon* and...Jack and Spike John kissing and Jack and *Ianto* kissing and...and...

Ah, yes. Jack and Eye-candy. Ianto seems like a nice guy, but I don't really buy him and Jack. It'd be like . . . yeesh, like Spike and Tara. Conceivable and cute, but just . . . not quite on. And there's all that Jack/Gwen UST, which is kinda tiresome and pointless.

But having seen a little of S2, the lot of them seem a bit more fleshed out. Owen is kinder, Gwen is harder, Jack is less smarmy, Tosh has a personality, and Ianto says more than five words per episode. If they can keep it up, I'll keep watching.

And i *love* Tosh! And i love Gwen. I love them *all*!! 5TP, man.
Wheeeeee!

You pre-vert =D

I'm gonna r & r Treadmill either late tonight or tomorrow. Right now, between the theraflu, acetaminophen, and the Buckley's cough medicine--it has ammonium nitrate in it. I don't know what that is, but it sounds suspiciously like ammonia--I have the attention span of cream cheese and the wakefulness of cottage cheese.

Hah! Cheese!

Heeee.
I rather like your voice. :)

And Jeff Foxworthy has a lot to answer for.
*pets you*
Theraflu is a good med, if a bit zombie-making. But i like!

Man, i'm just...i watched every single season one ep and i just fell in love. Sure, it was a little rocky here and there, but...omg! I love them all. I've never loved *everyone* in an ensemble show, and almost never loved the women on any show but *i love Gwen and Tosh*!!!

Suzy rocked too, yes, i wish she hadn't had to die. She was so damn *hot*, too.

I luff Jack and Ianto. Oh yes. *twirls them* And my gods, the season two premier with JM? Whoooooooooooot!

I'm working on the Torchwood dl's, you'll know soon.
And yay, Treadmill! Can't wait.
Feel better, bay-bee.
*smooooooch*
*on the cheek*
*through a hankie*
Germs!
*cough*
:)
