Dear rarewomen author

Firstly, thank you for writing for me! I love these fandoms and these women and I'm looking forward to reading anything you come up with. The optional details are very definitely optional; I tried to include a suggestion for everyone in case you're like me and inclined to spend hours staring at a blank screen hoping for inspiration. Character wise, feel free to choose any or all of the requested characters.

I tend to love stories focusing on chosen family and/or female friendship and I'm partial to both slice of life stuff and action adventure. I don't particularly like AU fic or anything particularly porny or kinky, but I don't think my requests really tend towards that anyway. Het, gen and femslash are all fine; I've included a few notes on shipping because I tend to be an OTP-er and other ships are likely to throw me out of the story, even in background pairings.

I've included my requests under the cut for the sake of completeness, but just a few quick additions. For Sanctuary I really love Abby (and, really, everyone, but there's not a lot of Abby fic out there) so if you can work her in, I'd love that. I mentioned Kate/Garrus; I don't mind the occasional reference to him but would prefer the pairing not to play a major role in the fic. If you do decide to include Kate/Declan I'd rather not have Kate cheating, so if it's in that time frame just kindly dismiss Garrus with a sentence or two!

Burn Notice - my optional details suggested Fiona and Madeline together which I really would love, but if you'd prefer to only write one of them, feel free. I do ship Fiona/Michael but it definitely doesn't need to be the focus of the fic and I'd be fine with him not appearing at all.

SG-1 - anything goes, really, especially because none of these characters ever got a lot of screen time. I have a particular soft spot for Cassie and Carolyn, and Hailey intrigues me as well. My only real SG-1 ship/s is/are Jack/Sam and Jack/Sam/Daniel so feel free to do anything you want with anyone else, or not to include any of them as they probably have nothing to do with whatever you have in mind!

4 – Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the story isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?

No. I love particular characters, I write those characters. From time to time someone gets a minor guest-starring role that I didn't expect, but muses have nothing to do with it.

5 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a story, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?

Wrote it, and cut it out later if it proved irrelevant.

6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?

I don't know that I have a preference, more that most of my favourite characters are women, so I write more women. Sometimes I find men easier to write, but I think that's because, in those specific cases, the men are less complex. So I always found Nick easier than Sara, and PJ is a lot easier than Amy.

7 – Have you ever had a story change your opinion of a character?

Not change, but give me a new perspective.
