"Words are very unnecessary, they can only do harm"

Greetings to one and all. Well, I'm back from Kent which wasn't the most exciting experience of my life ever, but I wasn't exactly expecting much so it probably could have been worse. The weather was dire so I spent most of the time playing DnD on my laptop (it was either that or watching soap operas and the darts championship). Played scrabble alot too, but I only won the one game as my run of continually getting piss-poor letters every time still seems to be continuing.

Going away again on monday now it seems seeing as I wouldn't be doing anything otherwise on that day. This holiday is typical of my mother's tendency to leave everything to the last minute and then get miffed at me when it goes arse up. I made it explicitly clear from the start that I had no desire to go anyway, so it's her own damned fault.

All in all though, I'm actually feeling pretty good. My cough has cleared up a bit along with my overall my overall health, and I'm feeling happier (I even almost didn't loathe work so much - saw someone with the title 'Lord Doctor' on their credit card!). I have the feeling that I'm going to be bored out of my skull on holiday next week, but I've got Nik's birthday stuff to look forward to the week after (which reminds me, I must get him something) plus other social stuff, all things which I'm looking forward to. I just gotta survive until then, which shouldn't be a problem, being hardcore 'n all.

I was thinking the other day (as funnily enough I do quite often) and was examining the idea of doing something to actually establish AUDS, as i've grown quite fond of having my own evil organisation. I was considering the idea of membership cards and other assorted paraphenalia, and also the idea of an AUDS 'function' - some kind of event (probably involving drinking and possibly halo and stuff if the participants wish). At some point I'll have to do a 'headcount' of all AUDS members, as especially if people (including myself) go away after the summer, I'll be able to both keep in contact and also dish out membership cards so they wont forget where their allegiance lies (heh heh). I'll have to get back to you all on the idea of actual membership stuff as I've only spent a scant few minutes thinking the idea over.

I would like to remind everyone that 'my door is always open' so to speak - if anyone ever needs someone to talk to, regardless of what about (or even who you are, I don't descriminate) I'm more than happy to talk/listen. I've noticed a few people seem to have the odd issue or worry, so I'm extending a helping hand as it were. Really though, I'm a good listener (I was an agony uncle for a small magazine once, really) and I really have no problem talking with any of you about anything. I wouldn't be a friend if I wasn't prepared to do so.

All righty then, I think that about wraps things up. I'll get back to you all when I get back from whatever Godforsaken hell-hole i'm going to. In the meantime, feel free to ring/text me, with particular emphasis upon my above point. It's not good to see 'my own people' suffering, that's what we're meant to do to others, not us! Seriously though, talk to me if you need someone. If off anyway, later people and stay happy.
