The MCAT is tomorrow, and I cannot sleep. The only thing I can do at this point is get some rest and my body won't let me. I've been preparing since January and I feel pretty stable, but as I laid down to go to sleep my heart started racing. I think tomorrow will go well, all I need to do is remain calm.

I'm in Chicago right now visiting my sister until tomorrow. I have had some action packed time in her classroom. The kids are nice and seem to have picked up on the dance pretty well thus far. On the wall outside the classroom, there are some projects hanging where the kids had to write idioms about God. My personal favorite was the one that read, "God is like Chuck Taylor's, He is an Allstar". Nice. I'm an idiot, by the way, and left mycell phone in Brookfield, so if you have called me in the past two days, I will get back to you when I come home.

So I'm thinking about changing my major to Chemistry and possibly getting a PhD instead of an MD and being a Chemistry professor. If I switch I can still go to med school if I want OR get a PhD in chem, but if I stay as a Biology major I can't get into a Chemistry PhD program....thoughts?

I'm sitting at work...probably not the best place to feed my lj addiction, but the office has calmed down for a little while and I haven't updated since...whenever. That Howie Day song just came on the radio for the umpteenth time today (note: it was also the song that woke me up to this morning with my alarm clock AND the last song that I heard before I went to bed last night). I dont understand why all the radio stations around here insist on playing such a shitty song so often. I loathe this song. Other than the crappy music, I like my job. Hands down the best summer job yet and it sure as hell kicks Mr B's ass as far as employment goes. The Dr. I'm working for is the nicest, smartest man ever. I'm really glad that I'm not working for some sort of stuck up, know-it-all asshole. If I haven't seen you much this summer, and you would like to hang out, please call me, I'm sure I'm up for it.

Go to www.fat-pie.com/salad2.htm I made easy mac for the first time ever tonight...after carrying the microwave around my room for 10 minutes trying to find somewhere to plug it in. I overcooked the noodles and there wasn't enough water in it for the cheese to dissolve all the way so it tasted like feet...but hey, it was kinda good.

Facebook is going to be the death of me...I'm sure of it. As Molly put it, "It is the best procrastination invention since SNC Facebook, which was way more lame". Amen Molly, good job. I'm almost done with my Feast of Love paper. I'll post it when it's done. I may have gone a little overboard. I just loved how people freaked out about it. "oh my God!!! they're talking about sex!!! Death upon us all!!!!" It's a book....not Ron Jeremy putting on a show in person or something. We are in college...please just enjoy an honest, well written book about love. Love is not perfect, it is not the carebears running around on the clouds holding hands and whatnot, and yes, sometimes couples (gasp!) have sex. Move on. Charles Baxter is not saying that you have to become a nymphomaniac. Anyway...TANGENT!! I need to take a shower...

I've been noticing lately how everything is supposed to be fast: fast food, fast fuck, etc. Try sitting and enjoying whatever you're doing...have a 2 hour dinner or a three hour conversation, it's really nice! So I had coffee with my hippie the other day. He came straight from work so I asked him where he works, totally expecting the typical college-drop-out answer "I work at menards". So I ask him, and as it turns out he is an instructor for kids with cerebal palsey. Is that not the most adorable thing you have ever heard!!?? Apparently he has worked there since he was 16 and just fell in love with it. I also bought "Vogue, Italy" today. Oh how I wish I were in Italy. Since Italian is so similar to Spanish, I can actually read the magazine fairly well. Or I can at least get the gist of what they're saying. Maybe I should use Vogue, Italy to teach myself Italian!! Three more weeks....can you handle it!?!? When is everyone else done with school?

I just changed my sheets for the first time since God knows when...gross, I hate not clean sheets. I now have my favorite light blue sheets on my bed as opposed to my not-so-favorite navy sheets. I know I'm not supposed to play favorites with my sheets, but I hope my navy sheets' feelings aren't hurt by my utter disdain for them. I am wearing my sluttiest pajamas tonight, they are really cute, but I'm wearing them because, don't worry, it is no less than 87 degrees in my dorm room with the windows open. Hey! Good plan to leave the heating on whoever controls the thermostat in Sensenbrenner! My hippie from Luna turned out to be a complete bust! He called me yesterday to see if I wanted to get coffee this week and then we started talking and whatnot. As it turns out, he went to UWM for two years....but then dropped out because (and I directly quote) "education is a waste of time". Ouch, that hurts the team. He seems nice though so I'm getting coffee with him Thursday. I told my mom about him and she said, "Oh honey, why?" I don't know why to be honest with you....because I'm a masochist who enjoys going on terrible first dates? My current vices include (but are not limited to): -coffee -multicolored index cards -Mars Volta -A Perfect Circle (thank you, Libbie) -Wicked Soundtrack (thank you, Katherine) -My multicolored pens -Vogue -My black and pink checkered shoes -Yellow legal pads -White Oleander -anything I own created by Apple I'm in the market for a new vice and/or bad habit.
