im a little nervous about my friend danielle because she has to stay in new orleans for gustav.. she works for the amry corps of engineers trying to help restore louisana wetlands post-katrina and some other FEMA type shit. katrina was the reason she got that job to begin with. i really dont like her being there, but of course im going to be a worry wort because shes my good friend. i talked to her briefly today, shes pretty busy and probably wont be able to speak again until next week, but shes gonna try to email. i mean, theyre not 100% sure itll be that drastic for new orleans yet anyway. who knows whats going to happen, now its just time to wait.

oh how convenient for john mccain to pick a female VP, really.. way to leech of the clinton supporters, because *apparently* they were backing hillary just because shes a woman. plus the VP pick is a first term governor, and mccain wants to say obama doesnt have enough experience for the white house? i mean holy shit, you know if mccain is elected hes because gonna drop dead in office because hes so goddamn old, and were gonna be left with a woman that has just 2 years governing experience under her belt? HAPPY FUN HYPOCRITE TIME FOR MCCAIN! at least has 8 years experience as a senator! and of course he wants to accuse obama for being a kind of celebrity? sarah palin was runner-up in the fuckin miss alaska pageant. lolwut? i love politics, its such a circus.

so i emailed the people with this car the other night about whether or not it has automatic transmission.. i got a reply back this evening saying it was automatic. that makes me excited. granted, i learned to drive in a car with manual trans, but i hated it.

according to the craigslist ad they want 4900 for it, but my spider senses are telling me thats kinda steep. kbb.com doenst go as far back as 1977 but the hard copy of the book does, so i need to wait till tomorrow for my mom to look it up in her kelley blue book at work.. that is unless someone has a kelley blue book at their house and will look up a 1977 mercedes-benz 300D in good condition for me ;)

for those of you that arent aware this is my dream car, literally down to the color, and for petes sake its for sale in liverpool! thats like... 15 minutes away. the only way i could buy it is to take out a loan for a few grand, but i want it enough to put myself through that. am i serious?

edit: i just has a duh moment.. i realized that if i wanted to have a diesel car and run it on wvo/biodiesel i can just get a hold of the people at my school that fuckin make biodiesel on campus for the school vehicles! im sure if i contributed in some way (money, waste oil, etc) im sure theyd let me in on using some fuel too. plus the schools right down the damn street for convenience. duhhhhh sarah!

ive had my nice speaker system set us for maybe a week in my room and my rabbit made it through my blockade and chewed through the powercord. plus while building an improved blockade i smashed my thumb and it hurts a lot. fuck youuuuuu rabbit!
