Best news I've heard all day...
Awoo… It's A New Hidden Cameras Album
I can't wait for this. The Cams are so much fun to listen to. Man I am With my Man is one of my all time favourite songs. First a new Smashing Pumpkins album in the works... a Cams album in August... could there be a miracle and a new treble charger album sometime??? Or at least could Rosie Martin do something.

Toronto's favourite "gay folk church music" proponents, The Hidden Cameras, will be back with a new Outside Music album called Awoo on August 15.
Singer/songwriter Joel Gibb and his large cast of Cameras have been keeping a relatively low profile while creating the follow-up to 2004's critically acclaimed Mississauga Goddam. The group's last local high-profile appearance was in November when they were part of the Toronto Dance Theatre production, In The Boneyard. The musical featured all new Cameras music, penned by Gibb, and much of it will appear on Awoo.
The Hidden Cameras will perform at a music festival in Austria next month and at fests in Brooklyn, New York and Chicago in July. They'll be at Guelph, Ontario's Hillside Festival from July 28-30 with the likes of Feist, Sarah Harmer, The Stills, Jason Collett and the Constantines. The group will also take part in a festival on Wolfe Island in Kingston, Ontario on August 12 with the Constantines, Great Lake Swimmers, Wintersleep and Jon Rae & The River.
Here are the songs on Awoo:
# "Death Of A Tune"
# "Awoo"
# "She's Gone"
# "Lollipop"
# "Fee Fie"
# "Learning The Lie"
# "Follow These Eyes"
# "Heji"
# "Heaven Turns To"
# "Wandering"
# "For Fun"
# "Hump From Bending"
# "The Waning Moon"
