hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...

I was so pissed I bought the boot leg of the Pearl Jam concert and that was the best picture of the bunch and there were only three. I wanted a the group bow at the end of the show, that was cheesy greatness.
The concert was so good! They played a lot from the new album but I didn't mind. I'm usually a little apprehensive when I go see a band I've loved forever and they just sing new songs because changes are I've never even heard the new stuff or I don't like it. But I'd say Pearl Jam is their best work since Vs. so it was great to hear the new stuff live.
They san Why Go and Garden which surprised me... but no State of Love and Trust or Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town my two favourite PJ songs... they did however sing those song at the May 10th show, looks like I picked the wrong show to go to.
When I go deaf at 40 I'm not going to blame the 100s of concerts I've been to or the ear phones always in my ears... no I will blame My Morning Jacket. There were notes hit so high I really thought my ears would bleed. Nothing makes you feel old like sitting at a concert and complaining the music is too loud.
We had the weirdest seats. We were out own three person isle. We were right above the stairs into the place. It was cool that we had no crazy people right beside us, and no one tall or smelly in front of us. However, all three of us found ourselves distracted by the people coming and going and watching the stairs. Also when you are in your own little world like that you sort of loose the whole group aspect of a concert.
Ten came out 15 years ago... isn't that insane!
Eddie said he was happy to start the tour in Canada and we have a great country. And last fall Pearl Jam did a Canada Thanks for Not Going to War Tour. Seems Pearl Jam doesn't think my country is like Nazis Germany and China... yes Morrissey I'm still bitter. I bought and love your new cd... but I'm bitter.
