| Bye bye, Livejournal. |
[May 11, 2009 / 11:46am] |
For a long time now, I've been cross-posting entries here & to my blog. I've decided that it's time to let LJ go. I love you guys, I love interacting with you, and I hope that I'll still get to. You an post comments to blogger using your LJ account, and of course, you are always more than welcome to email me or comment here.
My lovely friend Julia created an RSS feed of my blog so you can still read from your friends page, if you'd like: cassandrawarren

Tonight @ ellO! 110 State St, Portsmouth, NH 5-9pm

I threw together a REALLY quick page with all of the works available for sale. I'm sorry -- it's probably the most unattractive page ever. Contact ellO for price inquiries, and myself for any general questions about the pieces.

I also failed to list this piece there. Which is probably okay, since I sort of hate it. A lot.

I started a tumblr to post more sketches/commentary/etc than I do here: http://cassymakesart.tumblr.com
I'll be abandoning LJ as soon as I get an RSS feed of my blog set up for you guys to add to your f-lists. I'll still read my friends page and be active in a couple of communities, of course.

[April 15, 2009 / 10:23pm] |

Leah and I are collaborating on six pieces for the May show at ellO. She was gracious enough to let me put my drawings on her photos. Hopefully I won't ruin them. ;)

1. A very nice girl emailed me about a project she's doing, and asked if I knew anyone else that would be interested.
"the project? well, it basically consists of me buying a disposable camera and sending it to different people in a different location with the sole purpose of taking one picture of something beautiful. what that something beautiful is, the person decide. it can any person/place/thing your consider pretty at the moment. after that person's done with their picture, they'll send it to the next person and so on until the last person takes his/her picture and sends the camera back to me so that i can develop them and put them up on flickr."
Her contact info if you want in: disforiapasiva@gmail.com // http://onesnapshot.tumblr.com/
2. Here's some feather scans. The others are at my flickr.

3. I am exhausted.

If I need to email you back, that will be happening this weekend.
I'm also going to attempt to scan all of these feathers. Each one is different colours.

This will hopefully be at least mildly awesome by the time it's finished.
P.S., I have a show at ellO next month, so expect lots of new things in the next three weeks.

Usual disclaimer: My art journals are my messy doodle areas.

Today Leah took pictures of me working. My room is a mess and I'm wearing an ugly sweater. SORRY FOR OFFENDING YOUR EYES. And yes, I have a couch, desk, and bed in my room, but I prefer to work on the floor. Don't judge me, haha(?).

I'm tired and wish I was spooning.

| More progress. |
[March 22, 2009 / 6:34pm] |
I severely underestimated how much time this would take. These pics are kind of bad.
This part is done now:

And this is where I am as of this post:

Back to work now.

| Hi, I'm still bad at posting. |
[March 14, 2009 / 8:07pm] |
I really need to scan some things. But for now, here's another random photo post.
The Bailey bag is coming along very slowly. Very. Slowly. Here's one of the sides.

These will be on the front of the bag. I'll be cutting them into stencils, tracing them onto the bag, and then hopefully not screwing up when I paint them. They'll be yellow warblers.

Last but not least, here are my bbz, Clementine and Alfred T. Waffles. They were a birthday present from my Leah.
