Perspective.

The past week has been somewhat hectic...In the unfortunate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina Marc and I went to Kelly Air Force base where they were housing thousands of survivors and volunteered our services to our fellow Americans...I really wasn't sure what to expect, but was met with gratitued, appreciation, and heartbreak. I'll continue to volunteer as much as my schedule will allow....

Why my parents are going to hell:
Katy: Mom, dad why dont you guys go down to Kelly with me to help the survivors of Hurricane Katrina?\
Mom: We don't have time Katy...
Dad: Yeah we have to re-arrange the living rooom for the 62 inch Plasma TV we just bought...
Katy: What? You guys are so going to hell. God is watching.
Dad: God says honor thy father and thy mother...
Katy: God also says love thy nieghbor...where is Louisiana?? Next to Texas...

Went out to wings to go with Marc, Christian, Marcus, Russ and Lor last night twas immediately followed with Hold Em' at Russ' ---i played shitty knowing i was going to have to leave in 1 hour...Lor won ... So hopefully I'll get my money back for paying for her buy in....

Apparently my parents are buying a house in the country...I said it wasn't worth it unless it was in Crawford...I suggest they move their resources to buying a house for Katy somewhere away from them...to which they promptly replied 'no'.

Daphne I need clothes. We need to shop. Don't tell Marc though he gets mad when I shop excessively. :(

I BOUGHT A DESK! I bought a cute desk for pretty cheap at Office Max and Lor sorta helped me put it together...while watching Laguna...= rad.

I bought the cutest lamp for it at Target and a chair and a desk calender...good times...this is after i made a contribution to the Red Cross and Salvation Army for the survivors of Katrina...

If you can't make it out to volunteer, or dont have any money donate whatever you can guys. They are our nieghbors and friends, it could have very easily been any of us.
